Budget Rental car ???

I've got a quote for an amazing deal on a Taurus from Budget. We were planning on renting from Avis as we had good luck with them last time but they are almost twice the price! I read a few reports from poster who said they reserved larger cars and all got Mustangs. Is this still happening? Will we end up with a Mustang?!

I just want to know. I think I'll take my luggage down to the dealership and check out the trunk size in that 'stang! (just in case!)

We rented from Budget this past Nov. We had no problem getting the car we had requested, (a mid-size model), though everyone I saw in the office who had requested a larger model were all receiving smaller ones. This happened only at Canaveral, not at the airport. Also, we were offered a Mustang convertible on our return from Canaveral. We would have loved it, but the trunk was just was too small.

I have a Mustang convertible, the trunk is almost nonexistent.
Definitely not good for luggage. Or anything else for that matter. Nice car though.

We also requested a Taurus size car from Budget, but when we arrived at their agency in Canaveral, were told that they were out of that size. We were given a Ford Fiesta SUV, which was more than sufficient for 3 adults and 2 children, along with 3 large and 2 small suitcases. Be sure to give the car gas before dropping it off. The charge for about 2 gallons was over $20.

Thanks for all the first hand knowledge! The SUV would be great if that was a replacement. According to the Ford website there is a difference of just ove 6 cubic feet between the trunks. According to Budgets website they both hold one large and two small suitcases. I used to own a Tausus so I know that that one would but from what DisneyForLife said the mustang wouldn't. I think I'll rely on Ford and DisneyForLife and not Budget for this info!

Anyone else rent lately who got the full size vehicle they reseved in Cape Canaveral?
