Budget - new fee for no-shows/cancelations?

We typically use Budget for our WDW trips because we like the Fastbreak kiosk in the garage and bypassing the line. However, I just made a new reservation and saw this in the terms and conditions:

• If your plans change and you no longer require the rental, you must cancel this reservation before the scheduled pick up time or you will be charged a $75 US fee ($50 US for a pre-paid rental).

I don't recall seeing this before. Because our credit card is on file, they can charge it if we don't show up, but "before the scheduled pick up time" is concerning to me. The vast majority of the flights I've taken lately have landed extremely late. :confused3 Also, in this case, we're just going for the weekend, so our total rental is less than $75.

I did a test reservation WITHOUT my Fastbreak number and saw that the cancelation fee was not in the terms and conditions anymore. Incidentally, the reservation was also a bit cheaper without my Fastbreak number entered.

So, in summary, by using my Fastbreak number I'll pay more AND be charged if I'm late? I think I'll just return to waiting in line.
 
Good catch. I'll be reading the fine print when I next make reservations!
 
The reason car rental companies ask for your flight info is if you are late they can check to see if its a flight delay.
