Budget hotel close to Disney

After pricing what our next onsite trip will cost us I'm very interested in this thread.......We really never were picky about where we stay, we just want as much time as possible in the parks........However normally all the numbers I keep running seems to be only about $500 or less to just stay on site and get to eat at Disney, but if I can find rooms for around $50 or less that may change.........

Any resort fees at this location?

Nope! Nothing extra as far as fees go. And they were literally falling all over themselves to help us. DH reminded me we may have gotten this one on priceline and not hotwire. I use both pretty regularly so I can't remember. I usually use hotwire when there will be more than 2 of us, and on this trip there were 3, but I can't remember if we had booked the room by the time my mom decided to come with us.

We originally were going to stay at the AKL like usual, then we decided to book the POP, and now we decided our best option is to stay somewhere cheaper lol (DD is getting married the end of 2011)

That's awesome; thanks for the info. I'll have to look into it for the end of January trip. I like the idea of Hotwire over Priceline, as I've been looking at www.betterbidding.com, and it seems that you can get a pretty good idea of the hotel before you bid/buy.
