Can anyone help me.
Going to orlando, room only for three weeks.
2 adults & 2 boys (16 & 5)
Don't know how much to take with us. Can u help?
Have purchased all park tickets, have a car, only tickets to buy are for Kennedy Space Centre.
Can anyone give us some idea as its our 1st time and we don't want to run out of money.
Thanks
(Think this forums great by the way and ideas posted are really opening up a new world for me) :jester:

The only way you'll get close to that answer is for you to decide what else you are going to do besides the parks, say in the evenings, or on easy days.Where you're likely to eat,say special occaision at nice restaurant or at an all you can eat, cheap and cheerful. Your petrol will be very cheap, food doesn't need to be expensive. We've usually budget around £100 a day for two adults and three children, and had plenty of money, however you should always have a credit card just in case!!:bounce:

How much shopping do you plan to do? and what type of restaurants do you like?
Eating out can become expensive, alcohol (particularly wine) is suprisingly expensive in the US considering it's a major producer of the stuff. If you stick to places like Pizzahut, TGIF and McDs they will charge you in $s what you'd usually pay in £ here ( so about 60% of the cost. There are a lot of really quite good restaurants where you'll get a good meal for the 4 of you for about $60-70 for the food, a bottle of average wine is going to add $20 to the total.
There are a number of pretty reasonable buffet breakfast places on I-Drive where you can load up for the day at a fairly cheap price ( not everyday or you'll be needing a couple of extra sizes in the new clothes :O LOL) , have a snack at lunch and something light in the evening. Alternately if your room has a fridge, you might just buy some donuts, cereal and milk , making do with that for breakfast on some days.

You could get by on about $100 a day, but realistically $150-200 is probably nearer to the figure needed to allow for some nice evening meals. With the 5yr old in tow I doubt you'll be out partying the night away, it's probably a money saver to buy a case of beer from the supermarket and have a couple of those if he crashes out early.
