Budget Hair Accessory Organizer

That is strange. :confused3 I get those plastic packages that snap shut for undies (Oshkosh) and are heavier plastic, but they are cheaply made to me. I toss them out. The zip locks have held up really well. Different strokes I guess.

It's strange but I have never kept the snap one's but the zipper ones are great. (I think the kind I'm talking about are the Hanes). I know, crazy right??? ;)

You aren't strange I know lots of people who use them. I use one (from grown up panties lol) for my toiletries when traveling. My boss uses those and the snap ones for all kinds of things. They last longer and hey you are creating less trash by using them instead off tossing them.

No, You aren't crazy. I am. :upsidedow I was just working with the hair accessory drawer and I have one like it! It's zip plastic flip flop thing that holds hair bows. I got it at Target I think. I forgot I had it. I've had it a very long time and it's held up well. The zipper is just starting to break away a little, but I'm still using it.

Thanks to everyone that posted their ideas. I just used two paper towel things for hair bows and barrettes and they work great. I'm going to use the oat meal container idea too. I think I have some paper to cover it already. I'm excited to get that drawer organized a little better!

::WHEW:: good I was starting to think I was a little nutso... j/k I LOVE my budget board and my buddies from here. I have gotten sooo many ideas as well as time and money saving tricks that I have found INVALUABLE!!!:cloud9:

My 7 year old daughter will not leave the house without a matching hair bow for every outfit. We have tons. We bought a kids wooden coat rack from Target that was the colors of her room and added three wide strips of ribbon and it is perfect to organize her bows. She also has two long pieces of lace on the back of her closet door to hold holiday ribbons and ones that she does not wear very oftern

Arriving late at the party! LOL

I've always made accessory holders from ribbon--gross grain or satin. Barrettes can be clipped directly to the ribbon, and loops can be made using snaps or hook-and-look tape (i.e., Velcro) for ponytail elastics or other items that don't open. The ribbons can be hung from hooks, hangers, bedposts, or almost anything that's reasonably sturdy.

Just made several for my cousin's two-year-old daughter! :)
