I have a bit of money on my Amazon account thanks to swagbucks, and I was thinking that we could really use some rechargeable batteries. I have no idea where to start with this search, and was hoping I could get some recommendations. We go through AA's like crazy ...

TIA

Enloops are by far the best rechargeables that we have ever had! Like you we go thru lots of batteries (especially AA). These hold a charge for a long time and have a very long useful life.

Where is the best place to buy these. I have
9 battery operated candles with remote
8 battery operated candles with timer
and i just bought 6 outside LED candles with batteries

23 candles and each candle needs 3 batteries. I only turn on when needed or for parties just because I dont want to go through candles like crazy.

Is the Enloops a big charger?

I like Rayovac rechargeable batteries they are cheap in price but work great. I use them in my digital cameras, kids vtech innotab, xbox 360 controllers etc. Vtech batteries also work great. I have purchased both from amazon the rayovac came with 4aa and2aaa and charger vtech came with 4aa and charger. Rayovac 8.99 vtech 19.99

Amazon makes their own brand of rechargeable batteries that we really like. We use them in the kids' Leapfrog toys and they charge fast and I don't notice them draining fast. We've been really happy with them.

For budget friendly, I will 2nd the Rayovac batteries.

My experience is, I fly RC airplanes. I have some very small airplanes that have a small Lipo battery and it charges through the transmitter which uses 6 AA batteries. This is VERY heavy use of AA NiMH rechargeable batteries. I would some days need to recharge the AA's up to 3 times in a single day because of hours of flying the little airplanes with my kids. The Rayovacs lasted about a year and a half of the extreme use I put them through. For $5 for 4 batteries once you already have the cheap charger, you can't even beat that for alkaline batteries that you are going to throw away after they are dead.

I second the Enloops recommendation... We buy ours at Costco. I've tried several brands of batteries over the years, and these are by far the best!
