Our family will be in Orlando in a few weeks visiting Sea World, Discovery Cove, Aquatica, and Busch Gardens. We would love some suggestions on where to go for an inexpensive meal. Since we have food allergies the all you can eat pizza buffets like cicis are out. Our plan for now is breakfast in the room and lunch and dinner out. We will be there for 2 weeks and would like to keep dining costs to $70 a day. We're a family of 4, our kids are 4 and 6.

And does anyone have any info on prices for meals in Sea World? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

If you go to restaurant.com, you can get gift certficates for different restaurants for cheap. Use the code SAVE to save 80% off the costs. I got a $25 gift certificate for Giordana's Italian for $2 after the discount and another for $25 at FatBoyz BBQ for $3. There are lots of choices, even a few on Disney property.

Sweet Tomatoes would be a good bet for your group, sign up on their website for coupons.

Not sure what you need to avoid with your allergies, but there is about every chain restaurant known to man in the Orlando area! I know on the Orlando board, there are several threads on off-site dinning options and there is a Sea World board that gave me lots of help when we went there a couple of years ago. Maybe they can tell you the prices. I know we ate there and it seemed pretty reasonable for theme park food.

for something really cheap we like Checkers---I know there is one by Old Town on 192 and one near International Drive. We get a sandwich off the cheap menu (around $1) and share fries. It is fast food and their strawberry shakes are excellent. I also just bought a few gift cert. on restaurants.com w/ the SAVE code paid $11 total for over $100 worth of food. Other than that we enjoy Chick-fil-A too but a little more expensive than Checkers for us.

Thanks for the tips so far. We have 2 gluten allergies, so we need to avoid breads, pastas, ect. I did find a Sweet Tomatoes coupons and that does seem like an option for us. Fast food places are difficult since 2 of us cannot eat sandwiches and fries are not usually gluten free. Most normal restaurants have at least a couple options.

We were in the Orlando area for two weeks in August one year and what we found worked best for us was eating simple meals in.

We did salads (potato, fruit & pasta - which is out for you), casserolles in the foil throw away pans, grill meats, crock pot dishes, veggie platters, etc.

We found that it was so hot that the kids (and us) went to the parks early in the morning and then back to the house to hit the pool in the early afternoon. We had a late lunch/early dinner at the house and then just snacked in the parks. No one really felt like having a big meal because it was just too hot. The kids loved being able to swim while I got dinner together and we just ate at the table in the pool area. By keeping it simple I could have something on the table faster than we would have in a restaurant. We went back to the parks after dark when it was cooler. This might work for you so you can easily control the food allergies.
