I revamped my budget after looking over menu's & a few other things at mousesavers.. Please give me any comments/concerns where I should add or where I'm ok.. ALSO if anyone could tell me when MNSSHP tickets usually go on sale (April/May?) I want to make sure I get those.. TIA!! I have 2 adults & 3 dd's (ages 7,6,3 at time of trip, *3 y/o does not each much, so she will share with someone except at CRT*) We are staying for 1 week, (sunday-sunday)

CRT - (if we get it) 95.00 (tax, tip included, this is with new price increase)
MNSSHP - 175.00 (went off last years price/ticket)

Airfare 985.00 (this is booked for 197.20/ticket non-stop flight)
Car rental + gas for week 285.00 (have the rental booked for 165.00)
Groceries 50.00 (splitting 3 ways, mostly breakfast at house + snacks)
Food onsite (4 days + MNSSHP) 375.00 (all counter service except 1 lunch at 50's Prime Time Cafe)
Tolls/Parking @ Disney 60.00 (5 parking days at Disney/8.00/day)
Parking @ home airport 60.00 (8.00/day in the far far away lot)
House Rental 325.00 (splitting a 5br, 3ba poolhouse 3 ways)
Spending money 600.00 (for souveniers)

TOTAL: 3000.00
**My parents already bought are park tickets so I don't need to include that**

Again, thanks for any advice!

Hi Shelly,

One thing that I would suggest that you look in to is meal vouchers. (You can do a search of the boards, there is a VERY informative thread that can answer every question you can think of.)

This is a good way to budget because you can purchase them ahead of time and know exactly how much you are going to pay.

The Quick and Casual ones are great for food stands or counter service. The Breakfast vouchers can save you money at CRT (good luck getting in).

The Vacation Kingdom Lunch Vouchers are great. For the 4 of us (Me, DW and 2 DD's) 4 vouchers cost around $86 (2 adult and 2 child, do not remember exact price). We went to Rainforest Cafe at AK and our total bill was an incredible $304.00! That includes tax and tip. (Included with the voucher) If not for the voucher we probably would have never eaten at the Rainforest Cafe, and if we had, we surely would not have eaten a giant steak and lobster! (True, we would rarely spend $86 on a meal, but as infrequently as we go to Disney it was worth it!)

So, search for the voucher thread and you can save money and budget with them.

Looks good to me. Great gift from your parents. We are also a family of 5 and park tickets is our biggest expense.

Your numbers look pretty good to me for a 7-day trip. $3000 plus park passes would be very close to what we spend but we go lighter on the souvenir budget and heavier on the food budget (teenagers - enough said!). Have a great time! I think that you'll be fine.
