Just wondering....

On the day we leave the cruise do we have to call Budget to come and get us at the terminal or do they have shuttles just sitting around waiting to take us to rental lot?

TIA

we used budget last summer and after we got off the ship a van was already waiting to pick us up. :)

They'll be waiting at the terminal for you with their vans. They usually have two running at the same time so it is very quick.

Their staff is very friendly, too. We'd use them again in a heartbeat.

Ok...this may be a stupid question, but here it goes anyway. How does Budget know that we are on the Disney Cruise? I booked online and never spoke to anyone. Should I call Budget now and tell them that we will be on the cruise? Or are they picking up so many other passengers that it doesn't even really matter?

TIA

Which coast are we talking about? California or Florida?

They pick up so many people that they pretty much just travel back and forth, picking up whoever is waiting.

Ok so I have a question. Should the whole group of us go get the van we rented or can 1 person get on the shuttle and then come back and pick us and the luggage up?

The budget shuttle starts circling bright and early the morning you get off the cruise, just grab it and go. No calling necessary.

That would depend on how many people are waiting in line and the amount of their baggage.

Last month - our line was LONG - and everyone had a lot of baggage. With room for one one person - DH jumped on and we waited at the stop. With no baggage to burden him, he went right to the counter - and was back for us before the next shuttle van came.

All you need to do is make sure you move you and your luggage down from the van pick up area, to the regular pick up area. If you're going to have a lot of it - make it a plan and just drop off your luggage there to start with and have one person in your party, sans luggage get on the shuttle line.

Thanks for the clarification!! :cheer2:

The best thing to do..let hubby drop you and the rest of your party and your luggage at the port. Have hubby take rental car back to budget and meet you back at the port. make sure hubby keeps his id with him so he can enter port.

We did this for our May cruise, it worked out great.

Keep in mind..there were way too many people who took all their luggage and family to return the car. This made it horrible for everyone else..as they took up entire vans, making the return to the port very long. Not sure what they were thinking..besides it is loading and unloading luggage and everyone twice.
