Has anyone rented a car at MCO through Budget?

I have a few questions:

Do you get to pick your own car from your designated car choice row?

Walk me through your check out process. Any tips?

What was your experience using budget rental company?

Thanks in advance for any feedback!

I rented with Budget last week. They will assign you a car. You just get in line, sign your life away, and they'll give you your packet with your rental agreement, a row letter and a parking spot number. Then across the street to the garage, up to the second level, find the row, and then the parking spot. The keys are in the car. Drive out, they'll check the car out at the booth, and you're off. It's easy. The most painful part is waiting in line. And the bill;) They didn't try the hard sell tactics that I've seen with Dollar and Alamo regarding insurance and upgrades. They accepted the fact that I have Amex AND insurance and moved on.

I didn't exactly like the car I got, but I did like not having to "fight" for a car at 11pm. I just wanted to get to the hotel. But I'd been traveling for 14 hours at that point and had just spent an hour in lane with dozens of other travelers that had been delayed by storms. I might have felt differently if it was early in the day.

I'd rent with Budget again if I got another deal like I did this time.

I had a Jeep Compass. It was in perfect condition and had just 9300 miles on it. My issue with the car wasn't with the condition of it, just the type of car. I felt it had pretty bad blind spots. But I also felt like I was too short for the car, so that might have had something to do with it. I'm an SUV driver (Ford Escape) but this one just didn't fit me.

We rented a mini van from the in October. If you sign up for Fastlane you can just go right to the garage booth to get your vehicle and bypass the counter. We were given the choice between a Nissan mini van and a Chrysler. I don't like spaceships so I took the Chrysler. The man at the booth never mentioned adding on anything to me. No upsets attempt whatsoever. He was very nice. Our van was silver with black interior and very nice. I plan on ending from them again when we go back this year unless we find something cheaper.

Thanks for the fastlane tip! I hear the wait in line can be horrible. If you have fastlane where is the garage booth located?

I rented from Budget just recently - a good experience. Your car is assigned - I had a Kia soul in lime green - I loved it! The car was in good condition and I was pleased.

If you don't want to pay cash for tolls you can turn on the box in the car - you pay a fee to do this as well as the tolls you pay but it is very convenient.
