Budget Car Rental DTD

Has anyone rented a car from Budget at The Doubletree Hotel in DTD? Is the hotel walking distance from DTD? Do they provide a pick up service from Disney Hotels? Their rate using a 20% off Entertainment Book Coupon was munch better then what I could get at Alamo/National in The Care Care Center. We are staying at CSR and I could just take a cab if need be. Any help would be appreciated.

Believe it or not, I have had a car from budget at DTD disney for over a year! I don't want to go into the details--let's just say that it works out for my company (as you can see, I also drive the resort boats part-time). If you give Traci a call, she may have someone available to pick you up. You can also take the bus to dtd, and walk to the doubletree. It's only about a 10 minute walk. I've arranged several rentals for my friends, and all have received excellent service.

Tell Traci that Bill in Cape Canaveral says "hi", and let her try to figure out where you know me from.

I just did that! Took the bus to DTD, then walked up HPB to the Doubletree. Probably close to a mile walk, 15 minutes or so. Used the Ent. Book to get the cheap rate at Budget also! You could also hop the HPB bus that travels up HPB but stops at every hotel. We only rented the car for the end of our stay as we wanted to do lunch offsite and go back to the airport on our schedule, not DME's.

We rented from there last year. Walked from DTD to DoubleTree...nice little walk...about 10-15 minutes. If you decide to walk, when you get to the Hilton, stop and look in the pond in front of it......you'll see turtles coming to you to be fed! It was neat....DS had fun feeding them (and there were lots of 'em too!!)

We have rented from here as well. Nice pricing! We usually take a cab from our hotel over. Last time we stayed in SSR, the taxi ride was $5. Saves time and aggravation. When we stayed in the CR, it was $8. Good Luck.

For you ambitious walkers, they do have a courtesy van to pick you up and drop you off.....

I've done a drop off here a few times, no issues, friendly staff.
