Budget car hire

Hi All,

Just wanting some feedback really about budget. I have searched about for car hire and Budget seem to be the cheapest but I know cheapest isn't always the best! With the quote it says that taxes, Supplemental Liability and Loss Damage Waiver are included. Is this sufficient and are there any hidden extra's? The was no option for extra driver to give DH a break! As it is our first trip I would appreciate other people's experiences so as not to make an expensive mistake.

Have never used Budget , however if the rental agreement includes all taxes, LDW and SLI then I don't think you should have any worries.

Used Budget in October this year. Had a wait of over forty minutes to get car, not enough staff at the counter.

Had gone with them as it included a "free" upgrade. I was told they didn't have any higher grade of car available, so they didn't honour the upgrade.

Car remote locking didn't work so had a fortnight of locking it with a key and having to unlock the car to open the boot. Not much of a problem but still got on my nerves. Asked in the garage about changing car, not in the least bit interested in sorting it out.

I will not be using Budget ever again!

We used Budget for the first time at MCO and we were glad we did given the queue at Dollar!!!

There was only a couple of staff at the desk but we were seen after approx 5 mins.

No problems at all and got a free upgrade as promised (this was booked via US rent a car).

My DH also left the lights on overnight and next morning we couldnt even get into the car as the battery was FLAT!!

We rang Budget and within 40 mins was brought a brand new car free of charge.

We had no problems with them at all!!!

We're just back and used budget

they had one of shortest lines at MCO

honoured car rental upgrade

did not try to sell any further upgrades or insurance

oonly downside was only supplied service key for car so had no remote locking/unlocking, but hey we were on hols so whats the rush

i would use them again
