FYI - I just got a great deal on a Budget rental car. They are running an Internet special: $129/week fr mid-size car or SUV in FL only. Blackout dates are 2/11-18 & 4/7-10. I didn't see start or end dates.

I got an SUV for 8 days for just under $200 including tax/surcharge/sign away your oldest child/handling fees/breathing fee/etc!

The offer is on their web site. The code was U030094.

I could get a good rate but only for a mid-size, not the SUV. It's about $20 less than National's.

Is there any way to book a rental car at Budget and not pre-pay? It appears I have to pre-pay because it asks for my CC. For now, I'm sticking with National for the bypass counter convenience and I don't have to provide a CC.

We always have great luck with Budget when we go to rent a car. We get a better price by booking online than we do by using AAA or entertainment discount. Right now an econ. car is going for under 80 for the week.
