budget board moms: what do YOU want for Christmas?

I enjoy reading all of the threads about what to buy for the kids, your nieces and nephews, and co -workers, inlaws, etc......

but what would YOU (yourself) like to receive for Christmas? This only applies if you have indeed been good and Santa thinks you are deserving.....


I think what would make me happiest right at this very minute is if everyone would pick up after themselves and we could keep this house clean.

We are not really exchanging gifts (DH and myself) because we are getting a some leaky windows replaced. And I am THRILLED about that! Truly, I am. It has needed to be done for so long.

I too would love my house to be clean...but this year I have asked for the Pandora charm bracelet. It's been a few years since my hubby and I have exchanged gifts, so I am really looking forward to this present.

I have to say, I already got my present. My dad is finished w/ radiation treatment and he's cancer free. Honestly, I couldn't ask for anything more than that.

I really want to wish everyone a very merry Christmas. It's so much fun on the budget boards trading ideas. I can't tell you how much you all have helped me save !! SO thank you !!

(but I totally agree w/ you Grumpy's Gal, if everyone would pick up after themselves, THAT would be a great gift!!! I also wouldn't mind someone ELSE making dinner every now and then !!)

I am always practical with my gift requests. I need clothes, and my kitchen knives need a professional sharpening. I also wouldn't mind it if somebody would buy the CFL bulbs for my ceiling can lights. Those things are expensive!

I've asked for a Casio keyboard (DH grabbed one on BF at Target), an Edward Doll, and the New Moon soundtrack. I'm also buying a Coach purse with Christmas cash from the In-laws.

My Christmas list is pretty simple, but unfortunately none of it is really budget and since dh hates to shop I do it for him and save him the trouble

I sent out my list to my BF and my parents (yep at 28 I still do this, lol) and my BF comes back and says everything on there is expensive. I said to him, well duh, I buy myself the little things...it's the big expensive stuff I can't afford.

Here's a few things on my wish list:

Sex & the City Series on DVD (has been on my list for YEARS now)
Twilight Saga books
Netflix Roku Player
Camel-colored wool thigh-knee length pea coat
Calphalon 10" square griddle

Among other more expensive things (Bose Sound Dock, Coach bag....)...

Wellllll...I was just going to ask for a sturdy pasta spoon (you know, the kind with the "fingers", lol) and a new dish brush, because it's been a rough year and I was thinking that might be all Santa could muster. But, DH just got a tentative job offer (waiting on a background check--he should be fine, I hope ) and things are looking up! A new job would be a great gift!

Dh and I don't exchange and the kids give me something they make. The only people who actually give me a gift are my parents - they are tight on money too this year.

My biggest wish this year is for a peppermill and peppercorns so I can have fresh ground pepper. The more try new recipes the more I wish for fresh ground pepper.

I pray for my son and myself to get back to our home, we we flooded out in September. Right now I'm living at my sister's home and it's ... to say the LEAST... not fun!

I'm thankful for a roof over my head but want to be in MY home.

2010 WDW Passporter

2 or 4 qt Calphalon pot (slowly switching over to Calphalon and loving it!)

Disney GC for our upcoming trip so I could buy myself a souvenir without feeling bad about it, LOL (just a mom thing)

A calf-length puffer coat ~ I just love the look of those

Well I work PT at a home goods store, so when we had our big employee Christmas sale in early November I bought myself a KitchenAid stand mixer. That is my gift from DH. My mom got me a netbook, which I found a month ago for a great price so I already have that. Don't get me wrong, I love both gifts, but I am kind of a bit depressed to not have anything to look forward to or ask for Christmas. This growing up stinks

At least it will be fun to experience Christmas through DS3's eyes!

My mom told me the things I was asking for are boring but I really want them!

I want one of those steam mops. I think using a regular mop and bucket is gross, so I scrub on my hands and knees. One of those things would make my life much easier. I also asked for those plastic containers that the lids snap onto the bottom. I think my cabinets eat my plastic containers.

Now what I'd really love is a kitchenaid mixer but that's probably pushing it this year.

My hubby is in Iraq and is coming home a month early which means he will now be home for Christmas. I can't think of a better gift than having my family together for the holidays!

iTouch (I just bought a refurbished one from Apple on Friday)
a Kitchen Aid stand mixer (if I can find a good deal on one)
a new laptop or desktop (if I can find a good deal on one)
a Kindle (this is truly just a want, I can't really justify getting one)

We normally don't exchange too much either just stockings. But this year I really needed a new dining table. Ours is a mess after so many moves. So I got one but DH says that is for the family and not for me. I honestly don't think anyone cares but me. I did ask for a Jim Shore bundles of cheer mickey mouse figurine that I saw at WDW. It wasn't for sale in that store but I found it online. Besides that I hope there is some MAC lipgloss in my stocking
