Budget at MCO

I always rent a car for my trip, but I usually rent through Alamo. This trip Alamo is WAY more expensive than Budget, so I am using them for an intermediate SUV.

Will Budget assign me a vehicle? or will I get to pick one from a garage like I do with Alamo?

Does anyone know what would be a typical rental for 1 day (weekday)in April? I picked Budget for a 1-way rental from Port Canaveral to MCO and finding the rates pretty steep. Any tips or codes would be appreciated.
