Bucket of Crab Legs at Cape May Clam Bake

It says on the menu for the Cape May Clam Bake that you can add on a bucket of crab legs for $11.99 to your buffet. What size of bucket is this and how many people do you think it would serve? I'm guessing it is only enough for 1 person so that at $11.99 this is a really EXPENSIVE option.

Has anyone tried this before and if so was it a good deal?

It's a decent sized bucket--as a side order it would be good for two to share. Remember that this is an all you care to eat buffet, so unless you are totally jonesing for crab legs, it's probably better to skip them and order them when dining at an ala carte place.

We just ate there on Monday night and were told they no longer offer the bucket of crab legs. We went not expecting much because we had been told the buffet had changed but there was plenty to eat and everyone left full and satisfied.

Years ago, in Birmbaum's book, it said you get get a lobster as an add on. I haven't seen mention of this lately-Is it still available?

suzannews--do you when they stopped this? We were there in March and saw them being served. Ah well, we never ordered them anyhow--to much other food already included in teh pirce.

pnelson--I think a year or so ago they stopped the laobster add-on. I want to think it was replaced by the crab legs, I don't think there was ever an option to gte both--I could be wrong.

My bet is that a lot of people thought like we did--why bother to order even MORE food, especially when it cost extra We never saw lobster being ordered, and only saw crab legs go by a few times over the years.

I still think that the Cape May is by far the best VALUE of any all-you-care-to-eat at WDW by a long shot! Where else can you get unlimited steamers for $25, even outside of WDW! LOL!
