Can soneone give me a better description of the Bucatini Gratinati they serve at Tutto Italia than 'with prosciutto ham, peas, & parmesan cream'.
I don't know if Bucatini Gratinati is just the name of the dish or if it's a pasta or style that I don't recognize.

Sounds like macaroni + cheese, plus the other items you mentioned. I've seen that called a number of different names, but it sounds yummy to me!

Bucatini is a shape of pasta. Gratin-anything usually involves baking with cheese, I believe.

Thanks guys !
That's exactly what I needed.
One of our local Italian restaurants has something similar but with orzo,
I love that dish !

ha looks like they ran out of bucatini and used farfalle :) its like an alfredo sauce but a little lighter, not as heavy as traditional alfredo.

In December, the Bucatini Gratinati was no longer on the menu. The dish shown in the linked picture was listed on the menu as "Farfalle". It was pretty good.

I have to confess the reason I asked about it was not because I'm going to Tutto Italia any time soon but because I was trying to copy it. I have not had it but it sounds so close to the dish from my local place I was sure some one could tell me enough about it that DH could come up with a reasonable facsimile. And he did ! Honestly he could have done it on his own since he's had the dish here, but I like to feel like I'm 'helping' and it's that much better when it's a Disney recipe.

Oh then here's the "official" recipe previously posted on the DIS recipe section by poster Tatania if he wants to compare his version to that one :cutie:

Bucatini Graniti
Tutto Italia, Epcot, The Walt Disney World Resort

- Bucatini or Farfalle pasta (Bucatini is a thick rod shaped pasta with a hole in the center)
- Cream
- Fresh Grated Parmesan
- Fresh Peas
- chopped Pancetta or Prosciutto
- Panko Bread Crumbs

1. Boil Pasta until Al Dente, do not overcook. Set aside.
2. Prepare Diced Pancetta and Peas in a sauce pan on medium heat until Pancetta Browns. Do not add salt, Pancetta is cured already. Very little oil in the pan. Strain or absorb all oils from pan and set mixture aside. You may also Cook Pancetta and peas seperately.
3. Prepare Sauce pan with Heavy Whipping Cream on Medium-low Heat till simmering. Add Pancetta and peas and keep stirring for a few minutes. Do not let Cream sit on heat because it will burn on the pan.
4. Preheat Oven to Broil.
5. Add Pasta to casserole dish, Either individual or larger, depending on portions.
6. Pour Cream mixture over pasta.
7. Top with Parmesan and Panko Bread Crumbs.
8. Broil Until Top is Brown and Crunchy.

Chef's Note: The kitchen doesn't measure the ingredients for this and makes it by "feel". 1 pound pasta serves about 4 people.
