Does blowing bubbles on deck or on your verandah make a slippery gooey mess or are they fine and safe for little ones (1 & 3 years old)??

I never noticed a problem. In fact not that many people were doing it.

Blowing bubbles is so much fun....the trick is you have to share....not many people read these boards - so they are not prepared - we purchased a case of 24 individual bubble containers - the one's used for weddings.....we broke them out at the sail away party....as my kids blew bubbles, they passed out containers to all interested kids.....next thing you know - there were bubbles everywhere....it was so much fun and great to see....my kids made instant friends and everyone was so thankful we shared....a single bubble container does nothing.....the more the merrier......and it is not slippery when spilled....was not a problem on our recent cruise........bring the bubbles - you will not be sorry - have fun!

We did this on our cruise this summer. It was fun to watch the little kids as we handed out all these little bottles. I get a package of wedding bubbles for each sail away. I picked them up at a local craft store when they had a 50% off coupon. It was a cheap fun way to spread a little Disney Magic! I took them up top and gave them away. We never had a problem with any messes!
Take and enjoy!

We too took bubbles with us. Two problems though. 1. I had put it in our luggage and we did not ger our luggage until after the saIL away party. 2. Somewhere along the line a bottle leaked and it was a big mess despite the doulble Ziploc bags I had put them in. Lucky for us we had met up with others that had bubbles to share. It was fun to blow bubbles but I did notice it made the deck very slippery and not many peolple did blow bubbles. I say go for it and take the bubbles as long as you put it in your CARRY ON double bagged you should be fine. Have a great time!

I spilled ours all over the deck, the bubble blower broke, it was a gooey mess. I would not bother to bring them again. But it seems like a lot of people had fun with them, so it can't hurt to tuck a few little bottles in your luggage.

Have a wonderful time.

They sound like fun, but honestly I don't know when we'd have used them. We were at the sail away party dancing. As the party ended the horn blew and we were on our way. We were on deck nine for the party - can't blow bubbles over the side there, covered in plexiglass. And I wasn't carrying anything by that time - I'd have had to have been carrying a bag of bubbles, run the kids up and deck and handed out bubbles.

So if you forget them or decide not to bother, I don't think you'll miss them.

crisi,

We did the sail away party from Deck 10 which was absolutely perfect for both participating, seeing everything when we pulled away, AND blowing bubbles! :)

If you're going to do anything like this though, definitely make it bubbles. We saw a family throwing paper confetti strings and small pieces of confetti and it made a huge mess. Plus, it was sprinkling rain, so the paper immediately stuck to the deck and the deckhands had to pull up each piece by hand to clean it up. I don't know that family didn't notice that there was NO ONE ELSE doing it and that maybe there was a reason for that! - or maybe they watched one too many episodes of Love Boat!
