Has anyone had any luck with getting the gray stains (from the bubbles) out of clothing? My daughter has a blanket that her now deceased grandmother made for her when she was a baby and she's pretty upset because it has a huge area that is now stained on it.

Oh I'm so sorry that happened. We never had the bubbles stain anything, so I don't know the answer, but I hope somebody can help you.

No I'm with you. I don't like them. I work in a guest service capacity and while I understand that parents give them to their children to keep them entertained, I think it's incredibly rude to be blowing bubbles in close proximity to others. They get on your clothes, in your hair, on your face. I feel bad for people that are sitting or standing next to children with the bubble guns and I have on occasion asked them to stop because an unhappy customer complained to me.

+1. While I totally understand how kids love them and how the parents want to entertain their kids, I would ask that the parents be aware of where and at whom/what the kids are aiming the bubbles. As someone with sensitive skin and lots of skin allergies, I find the bubbles to be irritating (mildly, but enough to be annoying) and don't like having them pop on my face or arms. Some have popped in my eyes (a fabulous experience for a contact lens wearer!) when kids aim closely at my face. One time a child was aiming his bubble gun at the pick up counter in the Starbucks on Main Street. The bubbles were landing in people's drinks and on food. Finally a CM had to ask the mom to turn the bubble gun off -- she was annoyed and stomped out with her son. All this to say, the bubbles are fine and happy kids are cute, but parents need to be aware and thoughtful of others.

As for the bubble solution stains, someone on the web suggested Tide Release Gel Caps. A soak in a solution of water and Oxybrite might help as well. If someone finds a something that works, post here to let us know what it is!
