Bubba Gumps

Any recent reviews of Bubba Gumps? Its one of the only restaurants we have not tried, but the reviews a while back were not that great. Anyone know how Bubba's is doing lately and is it worth to check out?

We go there all the time, and it has been fine. Good food, good service, but LONG waits at the peak times.

We were there in August...six of us...It was the worst Universal restaurant of our trip...Poor service and less than adequate food. I think you would do better elsewhere.

I like Bubba Gumps! The food that I have had was really good, the atmosphere is fun and we have always had great waiters/waitressess. Give it a try.

We have been to Bubba Gumps 4 times in Orlando and each time was great service and food (I love the "bucket of boat trash"). Some friends just returned from a trip there and said that the service was bad (long waits).

When we where in July/August, we wnt down for dinner to BGs but the wait was about 45 mins, so decided to try again during our trip.
Went beginning August, and where seated straight away [mid week] food was very good and waitresses where very attentitive, we DW and me decided to have a dessert, but when we say the table next getting theirs, decided to share one, and we still could not finish it.
Will be back next year.

We went for lunch the Saturday of Labor Day weekend. No wait. Everything was fine. My son had a burger, we shared some spicy shrimp with garlic bread appetizers, and had shrimp poor boys. I must say I didn't care for the cole slaw at all. It was a tad bitter.

We were anxious to try but went during a down pour. It was mobbed and we discovered staying onsite does not get you a table at Bubba Gumps. (because it is a franchise I guess). We didn't wait. I tried the one in Times Square in NY and the food, I thought, was mediocre and over priced. Fried schrimp and fries $17? It just wasn't special. The atmosphere/theming is fabulous though and the staff was very friendly...I guess you should try it for yourself..

We were 6 in our group (4 adults and 2 kids) and we enjoyed it, of course it was January, so low crowds. The food was good, nobody complained about it... ha! ha! and our waitress was great... we had a fun time there.

We hit the one in Chicago on Navy Pier almost every trip. We always enjoy it and the service has always been great. Wish I could say that about some of the other resturants I enjoy in Chicago (ie Weber Grill).
