BTMRR What is the goat trick?

I think, but I am not positive, that what they mean is this:

When you are at the top of the hill, where the goat is, fix your eyes on the goat as the trains curves down. It makes the feeling of the drop more intense.

WOW! You do learn something new everyday! Today's new thing was sooo early, glad I got that out of the way! :lmao:

My problem with these types of tips, I never remember until afterwards...how do you remember stuff like this and where the cameras are?

You are supposed to keep your eyes fixed on the goat and turn your head and watch all the way around the decending curve. I have tried at least 5 times and have never felt a thing. :confused3

Yeah, when you get to the top of the drop the goat is on a cliff to your right. Keep your eyes on him (her?) the whole time you do the drop/sharp turn. You get a funny feeling like a more intense spin. My SIL swears she feels like she is floating when it happens but she might have enjoyed the 90's too much, if you know what I mean. We always bleet/baaaaa (whatever noise a goat makes) when we do it for added effect! If you listen, the goat is making some noise back at you!!! It's silly fun...

Oh man, do I ever feel that!! LOL I was doing it when the goat wasn't there, I've done it since the goat has returned and it's way more intense with your eyes fixed ON the goat itself and not just the mountain. :) Just keep your eyes fixed as you go around the corner and WHOA!!!! LOL

Thank you fellow researchers, Ill be going into the field next week and will return with my findings! Im such a sissy, that BTMRR scares the heck out of me :scared1: anyways, Ill make DFi do it:rotfl:

Ill give this a try tomorrow, hopefully it will be open. It was closed on Tuesday for a refurbishment of some sorts.

I'm always thinking (even after hundreds of trips on BTMRR) that the poor goat better drop that stick 'o dynamite and run before all that nibbling results in a big explosion!

I've heard of other people looking back wards throughout the whole ride. Some have said a CM has come over the loudspeaker and asked them to turn around and others have not. I tried to casually look behind me the whole time I rode it (I know, how sly of me ) and got a more intense "Goat Trick" feeling. I eventually had to just keep looking forward, because it was too much for me.

We were waiting between the bars to get in the next train and a bunch of college kids were chanting "Goat Trick, Goat Trick, Goat Trick!" and the CMs were cracking up. We always ask to go in the last car (to feel the most whip on the spins and less brakes) and the CM smiled and said, "Yes, as long as you don't mention the Goat"...

wow so many years of loving that ride and I hard something new! Thanks , I can't wait to try it!

Oh man, I'm feeling queasy just reading this! I'll pass it along to the non-motion-sickies in my family though...

Really the goat trick only works when riding in the back. Its associated with the whip that comes from the back cars going up and around that corner. Tried it a bunch of times in the front with no luck. Maybe some of you have. And honestly even in the back it only works for me some of the time. But when it happens....whoa, its quite a wierd feeling.

You don't have to be in the back, I've done it in the front but you get a more intense feeling about halfway down the train and on to the back.

Ok, so that's why I didn't feel anything funny. We were near the front. I'll have to try this again.

The Goat Trick is awesome. I kept my eyes on the goat, turning my head as we passed and got the sensation of floating, didn't feel like I was sitting in my seat any more. It was so cool and I cannot wait to do it again. When I first tried it, I started screaming, "It Works!!!! It Works!!!!"

Wow, looks like I own my SIL an apology! Someone else felt the floating out of the seat feeling! Awesome...

It's really cool!! ;) Just remember, keep your eyes on the Goat and follow him as you round the corner, only moving your head. You'll love it.
