Well, that's amazing news! We are arriving on may 3rd and originally were planning on hitting MK that day. I know no one has a magical Cristal ball, but do you guys think this will heavily impact the overall crowds that day? Or just Frontierland? I'm just trying to find out if it would be better to swap parks and avoid MK on BTMRR reopening day.![]()
Oh my! We are planning to be at MK on May 3rd. Hmmmm. I wonder what that means for crowds, etc.
I’ll be at MK the 21st and 24th, fingers crossed for us!Oh cool!
I will be at Magic Kingdom on April the 20th and the 23rd.
What would you say are the odds of a soft reopening for those dates?![]()
In the past BTMRR was a Tier 1. It is anticipated that it will be a Tier 1 again when it is reopened. We also arrive on the 3rd but won’t be in a park that day.
However, I’m thinking about lightning lane multipass. When we buy those the week before will that be on the magic Kingdom one and will it be a tier one?
BTMRR was* Tier 1. I see absolutely no way they bump it down to a tier 2. Since it will technically be open on May 3 it should be available to purchase for park days 5/3 and forward. (I'd anticipate it being quite popular)We also arrive on the 3rd but won’t be in a park that day.

If Space Mountain is Tier 1, I don't see Big Thunder being Tier 2BTMRR is Tier 1. I see absolutely no way they bump it down to a tier 2. Since it will technically be open on May 3 it should be available to purchase for park days 5/3 and forward. (I'd anticipate it being quite popular)
Same we realized it was closed but we were so busy with everything else there it wasnt that big of a deal.We visited twice when both attractions were down (Aug anbd Dec) and honestly can’t say we felt it too much. We wished we could have ridden these but also understand that maintenance/refurbishments are necessary at a place that never closes. Disney does a good job of moving people and absorbing the crowds even when (multiple) major attractions are closed.
Except they all existed in Tier 1 before even when TBA joined the party... for sure it's possible Disney brings a LL tier shuffle to MK like it did EP but if you're looking at what was before they were all Tier 1.If Space Mountain is Tier 1, I don't see Big Thunder being Tier 2
TT was down for refurb when LLMP launched so that explains the shift that happened with Soarin.Except they all existed in Tier 1 before even when TBA joined the party... for sure it's possible Disney brings a LL tier shuffle to MK like it did EP but if you're looking at what was before they were all Tier 1.
It will hurt your brain trying to figure the logic (if any) that WDW uses.I'm wondering why MK LL for May 3 is $32 and May 4th is $35. I'd think opening day would be $35 too.

Unfortunately, lowering the height will probably mean a calmer ride. It will change to: "Howdy, pardners… you folks oughta keep all hands, arms, feet, and legs inside the train, ‘cause this here’s the not so wildest ride in the wilderness!"Hopefully the rumors of it being slowed down aren't true.

I hope not."Mildest ride in the wilderness" was right there, friend.
Anyway, I actually don't think it's going to be all that different. It was already not that intense.
They must not be expecting a surge of people on Sunday, hopefully that indicates they're going to go with the Buzz style soft opening!I'm wondering why MK LL for May 3 is $32 and May 4th is $35. I'd think opening day would be $35 too.
