Here we go again with the "scared of coasters" thread, but we'll be down in WDW again next month, and I really want to try BTMRR this time. Last time I walked back out of the whole FP line just like I was 10 years old all over again.
Speed and drops are my big issues.
I LOVE Star Tours. Love it! Can ride it a million times in a row. I rode Goofy's Barnstormer 3 times, although I was TERRIFIED -- seeing the track helps a lot. For some reason, I was convinced that RnR wouldn't be so bad - everything you read says it's okay for the coaster-shy. I had the WORST time on it! My harness should've been one click tighter, so I kept thinking it was going to fly up! So, I kept pulling on it, which ended up giving me bad neck & shoulder pain the rest of our trip! The launch was the absolute worst (for speed chickens like me - I know most people love it), but I really want to try some more rides than what I'm used to. My DH has been an absolute doll about all this, even riding solo to test them for me.
Give me the straight dope about BTMRR and MS for chickens. I'm thinking if I love Star Tours so much, I may love MS....
Thanks in advance!!!

and I definitely felt the tug of the spin for a second before my eyes kicked in enough to say "no, we're moving UP, not to the side". My husband (35) has no spinning problems and he said he felt a little light headed for about 10 minutes, but as he's in a wheelchair anyway he picked on other riders getting off the ride that at least he didn't have to worry about falling over. My father (54 when he rode) was violently ill for a whole day and they almost took him to the hospital, but even I'll say he's a wimp.
