BTMRR “Fall” refurb

We were disappointed to see this pop up on the refurb list. How long exactly does a “Fall” refurb take? We are going in November and would be bummed if it was still down.

I haven't been able to find anything that says how long it will be down, however, when we were at Disney World in June, BTMRR was closed for a refurb that was scheduled to last only 7 days. We were bummed because it included the days we would be at Magic Kingdom. We were excited when it actually opened back up two days earlier than scheduled on our last day at the park. Hopefully this one will be a similar short closure.

Has anyone heard any rumors as to how long Big Thunder will be down for refurb? So far it’s down through at least Oct 5. I hope it’s up at some point during my trip later in October.

We must have been at WDW at the same time! We were super excited to see Big Thunder open earlier than planned!

I have to wonder, given the issues in the US Auto industry with automakers having issues getting parts for vehicles, if Disney is having issues getting parts for rides. That would definitely delay things because I can't imagine planning to have a headliner down during the big shindig.

My family owns a very small theme park. This is very true. Everything is delayed, sometimes because the parts sometimes because no drivers.

So sad this will be down for my trip next month as I'm coming from FL and it is the HIGHLY superior version. Why we can't get those extra effects here, I'll never know.

If it makes you feel any better those extra effects are broken as much or more than they are working, at least in my ride experience.... Or maybe that's part of what the downtime is for.

I'm so disappointed. It is my favorite ride at DLR, and after not having been there since 2019, the one I was looking forward to the most. I'm gonna miss that goat.

It's already showing closed through at least October 12th. And has shown that for weeks, so, sorry but no

It's already being shown BTMRR will be closed from September 7th to October 13th (possibly more, we'll see).

That's a major refurbish to be closed for 35+ days. I wonder what items they're going to do maintenance on the ride.

We're going to be at MK on October 26th for the Boo Bash, hoping and praying BTMRR will be up and running but fearing the worst. When I was a kid, many, many years ago, it was my favorite ride. When I finally returned a couple years ago I rode it expecting to be disappointed, I wasn't, still the same absolutely fun ride it was to me when I was little.
