After reading so many others PJs and TR its surreal to add mine and know the wedding is over and its onto the happily ever after!
Monday 1/9
Left after working half day. Came home, switched to the truck, ate our subway and hit the road. It was snowing huge fluffy wet snowflakes and it was sticking! A beautiful farewell!
Drove all the way to Santee SC and stopped for the night about 10:30pm at a holiday inn. We were so tired we crashed out right away.
Tuesday 1/10
We were too excited to sleep all night tho!

We both work up about 4:30AM!!! We hit the Bojangles drive through for breakfast and were back on the road by 5AM! We would be in Orlando by noon!

We made really good time, no traffic! Yay We decided against the marriage license by mail so we had to hit the courthouse! In and out no time! By 11:30 we were legally allowed to get married! Really easy process by the way.

Daves phone pretty much died on the trip down so we stopped into Verizon store and ended up getting each other wedding gifts haha! I got a new tablet and Dave got some new top of the line phone! Yay! Love!
Tonight we were staying at Mystic Dunes Resort just off property. We originally were not planning on getting here til Wednesday so our Disney reservations were not until next day.
We went and picked up the key my mom had left for us at the front desk and unloaded a few things, like the dresses! We hit the pool bar for a pizza and some margaritas! Yum! We ended up taking a 3 hour nap! Didnt realize how tired we were!

About 6pm we got up and headed over to downtown to find a snack and wander around for a bit. We may have gotten ice cream and hot cocoa at Ghiradellis
Wednesday 1/11- 3 days til wedding
This morning we switched rooms to the Beach Club Villas. This would serve as Official Wedding Headquarters until the big day! My folks had a two bedroom villa. Dave and I have the lock off room and my folks had the big kitchen and main side. When Dave checks into our room on Friday, I will stay here til Saturday.
Dave and I went to drop off all the welcome gift bags at each hotel and then went to meet his cousins who just arrived at DHS. The park was so empty! We walked right through Tower of Terror and Rockin Roller Coaster!
Tonight we had dinner plans with my parents to celebrate my birthday at Jiko in AK Lodge. It was soo different and so good. I will have to go there again someday! Little pricey so no time soon haha!
We ran into some arriving family in the lobby, chatted for a few, gave some hugs and headed back to the villa for bed!
Thursday 1/12- 2 days til Wedding and my birthday!
We got up and went to meet more of Daves family in AK. This was most of his familys first time to Disney so it was important to him that we played host and saw them in the parks a bit.

We headed back about noon since Carolyn Allens was coming for the tux fitting and we wanted to have plenty of time to relax for a few before the group arrived.
Carolyn Allens arrived right on time. Sue and Keith were so beyond awesome. Dave made me leave the room for the tux part. He said if he couldnt see my dress then I couldnt see the tuxes! Hah! I guess 1 of the vests ended up a different shade. Like pink and not blue. Sue and Keith had the correct vest overnighted and it was ready well before Saturday!
Well after the tuxes fitting Dave and I headed to MK. We had reservations at Cinderellas Royal Table for my birthday dinner. I did not know they dont do the show any more with fairy godmother and the mice and such. Now all the princesses just walk around to the tables. I was a little bummed but oh well. We had a great table for two right at the window. We had a great view of the fireworks!
Friday 1/13- 1 Day til Wedding! Rehearsal Day!
We had breakfast this morning with Daves parents, brother and sister in law and grandparents at Cape May Café, character breakfast. It was soo awesome! His grandparents were amazed by the characters, it was so fun. His grandfather asked goofy if he was a boy or girl and he pretended to cry! Minnie gave him kisses and mickey dance with his grandmother. Probably a highlight of the trip so far!
I had to organize my room a little while dave switched rooms for us and checked into our honeymoon room
Dave and I relaxed and took it easy all day until we had to get ready for Rehearsal. It was nice to relax. Only thing we did was go to lunch at Grand Floridian in the Garden View Tea Room.
Rehearsal was held in the convention center of the Grand Floridian. Christy greeted everyone and introduced Rev Tim. He was funny and perfect! So glad we chose him. He went through all the parts of the ceremony, made us practice. Made our whole group laugh and some cry. We chose a sand ceremony and at the rehearsal we wanted our grandparents to put sand in the bottom vase as our foundation. Then during the real ceremony tomorrow the parents built on it and we filled the vase.
It was beautiful. The grandparents were all surprised and honored to be included and everyone else cried!
Afterward everyone hopped on the buses to Downtown Disney and made their way to Raglan Road.
Again, another perfect choice. I must admit when Dave said he wanted an Irish pub for our rehearsal dinner I was less than enthused. The restaurant which I have been to a few times by now was beautiful with all the tile and décor. The food was awesome. We had a semi private room with our own bar section and open bar. We had a perfect view of the irish dancers. They even came over and did a private dance for our guests and then had Dave and I do a dance. That was sooo much fun! The one girl even came over and did a dance with our flower girl! That was priceless!
The night continued. A bunch of us girls went to Epcot to catch the end of extra magic hours til midnight! The guys were supposed to finish their cigar and join us but they headed right back into the bar! Needless to say they closed down Raglan Road, then had another cigar, missed the last bus and had to call ME to come get them. Haha! 3:30 AM the night before my wedding and I am chauffeuring a truck full of drunk groomsman to their Disney hotels. Man, thats something the gate gaurds dont see every night!
Finally got Dave back to his room and I headed down the hall to mine.
Next Up: Wedding Day!
