Bryan Masche / Sextuplets Arrested

I have never seen their show. I just don't know why they film families with high order multiples. WE HAVE SEEN ENOUGH ALREADY! :headache:

ETA: hope things go well for him...[/QUOTE]

Well I don't wish anyone ill but be is a total Butt. Everytime I see this show all I think is that she looks like an abused wife beaten down by her daily life and I don't mean the kids. She loves those kids and does everything. He is a lazy excuse maker. You didn't have a great childhood? Get over it. You are an adult now. Stop blaming your parents for everything. He treats his wife terribly. She always seems to be trying not to say the wrong thing. I feel bad for her. She could make it on her own. She is the one that actually works now anyway and he barely does anything to help her as it is. I wish her and the kids well and I hope he gets his act together because he is sickening.

Not agreeing with what happened, however domestic abuse is a cycle. From what has been shown on the show about his childhood it seems like he is stuck in the cycle.

there is one episode where they are in the interview part with the show and she's complimenting him, saying something about how good he is at decorating or something and he gets soo upset. He controlled himself on camera, by saying he wouldn't discuss it there, but her reaction was like a scared puppy. I'm guessing it was b/c he thought she insinuated, within the compliment that he was feminine b/c he likes to pick out furniture.

it was a pretty calm reaction considering, but it struck me as odd that she was so quick to apologize for something she did. When she didn't even realize what she was saying was "wrong".

He's also an excuse maker. He never takes ownership for anything. His parents are still in his life and seemed to help out quite a bit so I doubt they were monsters. Go read his twitter. He acts like an insolent child.

That is what abusers do. The ymake excuses and do not take responsibility for anything.

Thankfully no one was hurt. Hopefully this is an eye opener to all those concerned.

i caught their show when it re-ran so i had the whole season on my dvr and watched the shows back to back over a couple of days. he always creeped me out and i cringed watching the final episodes (had sworn off watching it again if it came back for another season).

watching it i always thought her parents (esp. her mom) looked more fearful of the family's move than like it was just b/c she would miss them so i wondered if there were other issues going on. there was also him (bryan) always talking about how one of the reasons for the move being to get them away (geographicaly) from their families (supposedly to prove to themselves and everyone else that they could raise the kids on their own) but i kept thinking that it reminded me of those situations where there's domestic abuse and the abuser is trying to isolate the abused (and the abused is co-dependant and wants to isolate so he/she does'nt have witnesses who encourage him/her to leave).

That was exactly my thought - abusers always try to alienate their "prey" from any support system. When I saw the move to FL that immediately popped into my mind. He has all the classic signs of having an abusive personality - mental abuse if not physical yet.

I hope this is a wake up call for her.

I'm always surprised by these threads. I see things so differently. I totally agree he has anger issues. However, she gives it out too. IMO she did imply he was the feminine one. Kidding him about it is one thing, but acting like she didn't imply it was odd. She also gets on him about his weight, his job situtation etc. I feel like the last few episodes she was trying to be nicer and they were showing all his bad stuff. Personally, I think they BOTH have issues.

I also felt like it was a good idea to move out on their own and get away from their families. I thought her family was getting a little scary in their insistance that they couldn't survive without them.
