Brushing goats at Comfort Station?

Hmmmmm. I bet that sentence has never been said.........Anyway, can you still brush the goats at the Comfort Station at AK? I THINK I remember they stopped it when that hoof disease was prevalent several years ago. We are bringing an animal enthusiast that would love this.

Do you mean the place at Rafiki's Planet Watch? We could still brush the pigs and goats last year, we spent a ton of time there.

I think it's actually called the Conservation Station and when we were there in October people were still handling/feeding the goats, so unless something has changed since then I'm sure you can.

My DD sat and brushed this one particular goat for at least 30 minutes when we were there. She was serious in her desire to get every last piece of dirt off it's fur. I was starting to grow concerned that the goat would be completely bald by the time she finished.

One of mine did the same thing with this enormous black pig, I thought she was going to curl up there and take a nap with it before she was done! The pig was totally into it, just lounging and occasionally rolling so she could brush it's other side LOL.

Just to add - you don't need to be a kid to pet and/or brush the animals out there. My husband and I (55 and 53) spend a lot of time taking a break with the goats (him) and the hairy pigs (me) before heading back to Africa.
