We will be on the Magic, 10/23/04 Cruise. We were wondering about the dress code for Brunch at Palo's? Are jackets required, or just nice pants/shirt okay?

pirate:

Dressy casual was the norm on our 8/28 cruise. Nobody I saw had a jacket on. Most men had nice slacks and a collared shirt.

Brunch is not as formal as dinner.

Dockers and Polos were on most of the men. No jackets that I saw at all, or even long sleeved shirts. Very casual feeling. I work an above the knee sleevess black knit dress, and I saw many women in capri's. I will dress the same way next summer, unless advised of a change from these boards. I am looking forward to the Tea as well! The form of dress was the same then also.::yes::

I called Palo and asked them. They said, "smart casual" which means no jackets, but don't look like a slob. Apparantly they table next to us didn't listen because the man was wearing cut off shorts and a sloppy tee shirt. You'll love brunch. It was my favorite!!! Try the beef. Yummy!

Thanks for the info --- DH doesn't like to dress up too often, and I'd hate to miss Palos!!!

Does the 4-day Wonder offer brunch at Palo? We are sailing for our very first time on Oct. 17. Cannot wait!!!!!:earsgirl:

Also, a separate Palo Brunch question:

Are there two separate lines for reservations? One for dinner and then one for Brunch? Just trying to figure out if I should bring my DH along when making reservations if there are two separate lines.

thanks!

Marley,

On the 9/11/04 cruise there were several lines for Palo ressies---1 for each night of the week, as well as 1 for brunch/tea. Ressies were taken in Studio Sea starting upon boarding. We boarded a little late, but ressies were still open for every meal. We were fortunate and got exactly what we wanted. (BTW, I went alone and had no problems bobbing a weaving to the line(s) I needed. DH was in the LONG line for shore excursions--with the itinerary change(s), we couldn't book excursions until onboard.)

Remember, you'll be on vacation...don't sweat the small stuff!Happy Sailing!

Lisa

PS In the past, we've made our Palo ressies at Palo. There, we had one line for all dinners and one line for brunch/tea. Make sure to check the Navigator for YOUR times/places.
