Brunch at the Top Suggestions?

I dined solo at the brunch on May 6. I did order two entrees. I asked about smaller portions which they don't do. I wish I had asked if they would make an exception for the bacon. It worked out fine for me though because I didn't enjoy the buffet part as much and appreciated the entrees. I had the shrimp and grits and the blueberry pancakes. There are only two shrimp and a grit cake so not a large portion. Honestly my very favorite thing that I will always crave were the blueberry pancakes. So yummy!! And the desserts were wonderful as well! I asked for them "to go".

The menu has changed since I first started planning to do this brunch. I was looking forward to the wedge salad, fregola salad, fresh fruit cups and the shrimp and grits that were served with a tomato broth.

I, too, canceled Tiffins. Next time!

Thanks so much for the review! It's nice to hear that the portions aren't' huge. I hope I can work up the nerve to order two entrees!

I don't have personal experience ordering half entrees but I have heard others who have done it. That said, for the entrees I'd say go where your stomach leads you. My hubby and I ordered the lobster eggs benedict and the steak, both of which were good, but I wish I'd ordered the korean chicken or carrot cake pancakes. I think I felt the need to order what felt expensive vice what I just wanted to sink my teeth into. That said, you really can't go wrong because it is an amazing dining experience, but just order with your gut (pun intended) and there is no chance you won't walk away beyond satisfied.

Enjoy!

Did you write a review of this meal?? I don’t remember seeing it.

This was absolutely our most memorable meal last December! The smoked salmon was great, as well as everything on the charcuterie board. I got the shakshuka and was thrilled with it. I felt there was enough sweet on the buffet to warrant not getting a plate of sweet for my meal. The coffee was astounding, perfectly presented. We were the first couple in that day and everything was beautiful. Have a GREAT time, it's just so perfect!

I did the brunch in September and I'm going again in June. I will be on the dining plan, now that alcohol is included with the dining plan, will that include the bloody mary bar? Previously I had to pay extra for it although the mimosas were always included.

We did this a few weeks ago. I has both the steak and eggs and the french toast. No issue at all ordering 2 entrees. Everything was amazing. Cant wait to go again.

How’s the shakshuka? My hubby makes a mean one; had it for mother’s day yesterday.

I hope you can, too! When asked if you are ready to order, just say you would like to have the shrimp and grits and the carrot cake pancakes. Look forward to hearing about your dining experience there!

I think this is the meal I am most looking forward to following by a nap at the pool. Bottomless mimosas......
That is exactly what we are doing! We check into VGF and hit the monorail for the first brunch of the morning at 10 then head back to GF to spend the rest of the day at the pool until around 4 when we head to MK for MNSSHP

Sounds like the perfect day! We’ve got Jiko for dinner much later that evening. The only thing that might change that is our ability to get FoP FP.
