Hi, looking for suggestions for our upcoming trip. It's DH (31) and I (29). We're on the DDP.

Basically my question is should we do Brunch At The Top or brunch at The Wave... here are the pros/cons I've listed... and input would be great! Also, and reviews for Brunch at the Top would also be helpful!

Pros of Brunch at the Top
- Great selection of food, all looks so good
- Can return later that night to view fireworks

- Complimentary Mimosa
- Maybe not as 'busy' as The Wave? More intimate atmosphere

Cons of Brunch at the Top
- 2 TS credits

Pros of The Wave
- 1 TS
- Lots of good reviews on the food

Cons of The Wave
- Can't return for fireworks

I've pondered this question. In my situation I'm going with the Wave for my birthday brunch. It looks delicious and I think the California Grill experience is too pricey for my little ones. Plus Chef Brian will still make my birthday cake!

Funny you posted this!

I had brunch at the top booked for our upcoming trip, but decided just yesterday to cancel.

I just can't eat THAT much at one time, and neither can DD (it's just for her and me). She is too young to drink, so unlimited mimosas would be just me, but, I don't do lots of fruit juice so would rather have the bubbly straight if I get it. $80 per person plus tax and tip, and basically we both just want eggs benedict (and she may want one sweet), is too much to justify.

We can order eggs benedict at the Wave for $13.

It's easy to get in there for breakfast, so I'm playing it by ear and probably just checking right beforehand if we decide to go, depending on what day we feel like going.

For breakfast, I'd pay out of pocket likely, but for lunch or dinner, I'd use a TS credit. Problem with us is that when we've had dining plans, we never can use all our credits, so end up with lots of snacks to take home.

I just went through this exercise trying to decide between paddlefish brunch or cali grill brunch.

We decided on Cali Grill and have it positioned to take up two of our meals so that it lessens the total $ for the day given the high price tag, TiW will hopefully help out with that too.

Like you said, you can also get back up to watch the Fireworks

Also, I thought it was bottomless mimosas and not just one complimentary one.

Atmosphere with music and being able to see MK from that high up during the day helped ease the $ pain as well as the sheer amount of stuff you get for $80 including pastries in the beginning on top of the apps and the small desserts you get at the end, we're planning on arriving starving and leaving stuffed with no other food planned until 10 hours later.

Have not had the pleasure to eat at the Top but have gotten to eat at the Wave several times. It just depends on what kind of food you want I think. The wave was really good food, more of a home made quality to it and not a ton of choices but my husband and I really enjoyed it. I'm sure which ever one you pick, you will have a good dining experience!

It says on Disney's website it's bottomless, so enjoy!

Well... not to sounds like a lush, but bottomless mimosas have totally set me over the edge... I'm going to stay committed to Brunch at the top!!

Thank you!

We went back and forth on whether to keep our brunch reservation last summer - and ultimately did. And were SO glad we did. It's an amazing experience, and absolutely everything we ate was top notch. We enjoyed it so much that we have an upcoming short trip that was planned so we could do it again.
