We are doing the 4-night on Wonder. I keep hearing, there's a Brunch at Palo's on the sea day...

Is it the same food as at night??? In case, we don't get the Res at dinner we want... I wanna know, if we could do the 'brunch' and still get the full effect....

We plan to get to the pier at like 11am, and 'get in line' and then head straight for the place to make Res for Palo's (I don't know where we go, but I'm assuming they state it somewhere right???)

thanks.

I'm soo excited... I taped and watched the 'Disney' cruise line special on the travel channel.. seen in twice (watched it again w/ dad last night) and I've seen the DVD we requested, and looked at the brochure...

Also, the Tropical Rain Forest in the spa... it says at Disney it's 15 dollars and 'all day', so does that mean, you can order it, and go there off and on throughout that day or what???

We traveled with friends so we were able to do one brunch and one dinner at Palo. The food is different. The brunch is set up as a partial buffet with different stations - danish, stollen bread, fruit; huge shrimp, salads, crab legs, salmon, marinated veggies, desserts - lemon meringue pie, tiramisu, cappuccino mousse, etc. Your server will bring you hot items like pancakes, omelets, pizzas, tenderloin, etc. If you like seafood, you have got to try the tilapia--if I had to pick one entree that stood out among the others during the entire cruise, that was it.

The dinner is completely sit down with totally different food (I was hoping for that tilapia again, but no luck, lol!) I am surprised to say that I almost enjoyed the brunch more, even though both meals were fantastic. I LOVE shrimp and was having a field day with all of the shrimp at the brunch. However the chocolate souffle at the dinner is unbelievable--my favorite dessert of the whole cruise. Which ever you pick, you'll have a wonderful meal!

Regarding the spa--yes, you pay $15/day and can use it on and off as you like throughout that day. We didn't do it, but it sounded wonderful!

Michele25 has it right.

Also, during the brunch you have a wonderful view of the ocean! We really liked the brunch and would do it again in a hearbeat.

The rainforest is wonderful--you will get in there and not want to leave!

Book both and you will be sooooooo happy you did. They are two dining experiences you do not want to miss!!!!

I found out after our 8/7 cruise that you could go to the bar and order dessert. I could have had that divine chocolate souffle more than once!

FLGalInTN,

Are you serious? You can go up to Palos and just order dessert? I never knew that. We're usually happy with the dessert selections in the restaurants, but that is still good to know.

which bar? The one at Palo? And if so, how much is it? Do you have to pay the cover or can anybody go anytime? I can taste it now!

Re: Dessert at the bar in Palo.

I don't know the particulars, but this is what I was told on another thread (I'll see if I can locate it). I didn't actually try it myself because I didn't know about it until after our cruise was over. I do, however, have the chocolate souffle recipe. I plan to try it out in October when DH and I celebrate our anniversary.

Thanks for the link FLGalInTN!

I copied and pasted the recipe for the chocolate souffle'. My 20th anniversary is tomorrow, but because of busy schedules, I will not have time to whip this up for my DH. I'll have to try making it for another special occasion.
