So we always use mozilla instead of IE.

It no longer seems to be working properly. 2 examples:

1)If I open multiple tabs, I cannot switch between them. Must close them to get to the others

2)On facebook, the chat thing at the bottom doesn't work, and at the bottom of the first page on your newsfeed where it usually says "older posts" and you can click that and get more, that choice isn't there. Plus some of my games don't work properly.

When I open IE and go on facebook all these things work so it's not facebook, it's the browser...it's been going on for days now.

Any advice?

I hate to say this, but my solution to all the Firefox problems was to switch to Google Chrome. I haven't had a single problem with Chrome. I did miss all my Firefox addons, but I got over it.

Delete Firefox and reinstall.

Run a virus/Adware scan.

I use Firefox and only Firefox. So does my boyfriend. We have not seen the issues you are seeing, so I would think it is something on your end.

I'm sure it's on my end but I wish I knew what it was. Everything that doesn't work in firefox on my computer does work on IE on my computer and everything that doesn't work on firefox on my computer does work in firefox on my husband's computer.

I have tried adjust all the options I can think of and I deleted cookies, history, etc. I've restarted the computer. I really don't want to uninstall and reinstall firefox because I don't want to redo my bookmarks and passwords and things. Will probably come to that though.

Was hoping somebody would say "oh yeah, that happened to me, check such and such a box and you'll be all fixed" but no such luck.

Thanks for any advice!

I've had the issue where on Facebook, I can't click on a picture to view it, so I also switched to google chrome.

You can save your bookmarks easily. Go up to "bookmarks", "organize bookmarks", "import and backup", "backup"... this will then prompt you to save them where you wish to.

I use Firefox and don't have any of those issues. Many times these kinds of things are not with the browser but the plug-ins you use. Check those to see if there are any updates. If not try disabling them one at a time to see if that corrects the problem. If it does, you know the culprit.

Uninstall & re-install.

If you have AVG antivirus, it may be screwing with Firefox. Uninstall & re-install that, too. It started messing with my Firefox. :headache: :badpc:

Good call. I disabled the link scanner in AVG Free Version 9. It can cause some issues and I think it is kind of a waste.
