Brownies--Frosting or no frosting?

Frosting is only for brownies that are not good enough to stand on their own. A good brownie does not need anything else with it.

Not necessary, but if you want to be extra decadent, a homemade chocolate frosting is awesome! No nuts!

I usually make brownies with no frosting, but if I want something special I put Andes candies (the chocolate mint ones) on top of the brownies as soon as they come out of the oven. When the candy is all melted spread it over the top.

no nuts, no frosting. Brownie purist.

Oh, and Ghiradelli is now the only brownie from a box I'll use.

I made that the other day, pretty good. Then we turned around and made the Hershey's Chocolate Chunk and that was good too.

My vote is for no-frosting, but the brownies have to be sooo fudgy that they stick to the roof of your mouth. :thumbsup2

Depends. I prefer a rich chocolate and coffee flavoured frosting on brownies--but if you are serving brownies outside, and you have a forecast for a hot, hot day--omit frosting and serve with ice cream on top. Ice cream--the solution to everything!

Frosting!! No nuts!!! :thumbsup2

Though, to be honest, I'll eat them with or without frosting, and pick the nuts out if I have to. But when I make them, I make them moist and chewy, with frosting... and no nuts. Cake-like brownies tend to taste a bit dry-ish to me.

mmmmm... brownies.... Now I want to make some. :upsidedow
