Brown Derby

We loved it in 2001. The service is relaxing (read a little slow) and the food is excellent. The Cobb Salad is awesome, Filets were also good. DH had Grouper and swears it was one of his best meals (and it was his best fish dinner) in WDW. It is expensive.
Don't go if you don't have the time to spend waiting for your meal.
We had the first available dinner sitting-I think around 4:30pm as part of a Fantasmic Dinner Package. There were only about 6 tables full in the whole restaurant. I would recommend it for a better upscale type of Park meal.

Brown Derby was one of our best meals at DW. We will probably eat there more often now that we have been there. The food was so much better than the other restaurants that we had tried. We ate there for lunch, and though the place was only about half full, the service was a bit slow. Still, the food was worth it! I had the coconut shrimp appetizer and a pasta dish for an entree. We will plan to eat there at least once each trip in the future.

Brown Derby is our favorite restaurant at MGM and one of our favorites in all of WDW. We love the filet, grouper, tuna, cobb salad and the grapefruit cake

We enjoyed it very much. Our first visit was for lunch last week. My only recommendation is that if you order the cobb salad, DONT HAVE THEM MIX IT TABLE SIDE. If you've never had it, some of th eingredients can be overwhelming (ie avadcado, roquefort cheese)

The pea soup was terrific

Gotta agree with "mom rules".

Service is a bit frustrating........for me at least.

But the food is worth it! :) Just know in advance that it will be slow and you'll be ALL set!

We went in Oct 2001 and I thought it was great. Very California cuisine and very visually appealing. Thumbs up from me. AND we
leave really early in the morning again!!!!!!!

We went in 1999 & 2000 and were not too impressed. On those 2 visits they stuck us in a little room off the main room and we found the atmosphere AND food lacking...poor quality and laughably small portions. We went back in 2002, were seated in the main room and we had an awesome meal. 4 of us ordered appetizers and shared them and they were great. I had a NY Strip and lobster tail, it was my favorite meal of the week. Whatever you do, even if you have to wait a little longer, make sure you are seated in the main dining room!!!!!

i have ps for the first week of march at 5pm
do i have enough time to make it to the fantasmic show?

I think that gives you about 2 hrs before
showtime (Fantasmic @7:00pm?). You should
be okay unless they are particularly slow/busy that
night. Were you able to get a Fantasmic Dinner
Package for the beginning of March?

apparently the fantasmic dinner pakage is no longer available after feb.

Yum! The Brown Derby is awesome, and we go there each trip. I love the Cobb salad and the grapefuit cake.
