I am planning on cancelling my H&V and am thinking of trying for Brown Derby. I realize it is considered a signature rest. but do we need to dress up for this one? I do not want to book if we need to dress as we will be spending the day in the park.
No, you can just go in theme park clothing. The food is good, but it is not a restaurant that is IMHO worth 2 dining credits, but if you are payig OOP you'll be fine. Our Total for 4 adults, 4 entrees, 4 desserts, 4 NA beverages was I believe around $120. including tip.
We had dinner there a week ago and really liked it. My DS tried duck for the first time ever! Everything was good and service was very good. The setting is very nice and relaxing. You'll be fine in regular park attire.
We've really enjoyed all our meals at the Brown Derby -- I suggest you give it a try! And since it's in a theme park, almost everyone will be wearing theme-park attire.
Another option for the Brown Derby is to do the Lunch With an Imagineer. It is a fixed price 3 course and beverage lunch for a group of 8 plus an Imagineer. The meal is served in a beautiful private room and the service is white glove elegant. In our group we received cool nametag and a souvenir plate signed by our Imagineer. It takes place at 11:30 am on Mondays and Wednesdays (Fridays? - I can't remember). Totally fun.
