Brown Derby Recommendations?

I will be eating at the Brown Derby for the FIRST TIME next month and I am looking for recommendations on what to get to eat for dinner. I've read a lot of reviews saying that the Cobb Salad is delicious -- but what else do people like to get when they are there?

Any recommendations??

Last November, I had the filet and my DH had the tuna. Great meals. As a matter of fact, it was the best filet I had that week.

The salmon was outstanding, my DH really enjoyed the filet.

Their filet is the best I've had anywhere (and I'm not a steak person, I usually get the fish). Also the crabcakes are excellent for an appetizer.

My favorite meal is crabcake appetizer, filet for entree and grapefruit cake for dessert. That's exactly what I ordered when we were there in July! At lunchtime I love their pasta dish also.

The crabcake was delicious (we had that and the cobb salad but enjoyed that more) - I had the grouper and it was DELICIOUS but heavy. MOm had the tuna and it was yummy, and DH had the salmon on polenta and it was yummy and quite heavy as well. We all 3 were smashed full of food and enjoyed it all.

Oh, we had the Happiest Celebration special anniv dessert and it was the best one we ate all week - it's a dark chocolate orange mousee that was as beautiful as it was delicious.

I didn't have the filet because we had Yachtsman the next night but heard it's very good as well.

Ooo! I am glad you started this thread! We are going to the HBD for the first time ever as part of the Fantasmic Dinner Package! Now I am getting REALLY excited!

The lamb and filet are my two favorite entrees there.

We usually go there for lunch. I always get the Cobb salad and I love it. My husband gets the filet and it's one of his favorite meals. We didn't get dessert last time, but last October we got a chocolate flourless cake that was wonderful.

Don't forget the soup. Like the other menu items they rotate the preparation throughout the year but I really enjoy the soup.

Aaaaaah...I love it....dh and I ate there for our honeymoon (12 years ago)...we had the filet mignon....it was great! And the way the clean the crumbs off the table...that's a memory...hahaha...I told dh I needed a guy to do that at home after he eats...
Anyway..good choice! Great place! Enjoy!
