California Grill for a birthday dinner would be great. We celebrated my Wife's birthday a few years ago there and we had a great time.

California Grill is amazing and don't forget to walk out on the deck right before the MK fireworks (if your ressie time fits) for an unbelievable view of them.

Brown Derby was very good also - bit Cal Grill is head and shoulders above it.

I haven't been to CG, but have been to BD. We did BD on the Fantasmic dinner package and paid OOP for it. It turned out to be a great deal. The food was fantastic - our favorite meal of the trip. That being said, I think you'd get more for your credits at CG.

While the Brown Derby is a fine restaurant, CG is better, AND the prices at BD are considerably lower. Most of the entrees are under $25! This makes an especially good candidate for paying OOP.

If you are able to book the Brown Derby using the Fantasmic Dinner Package it is only $39.00 and you can order anything off the menu!! This is a fantasmic deal and you can save you TS credits for California Grille or elsewhere. If you are using you credits then California Grill is a better choice, and if you can time it with the fireworks it is an incredible view.
