How do you rate Brown Derby for their food, one being the worst and ten being the best.

The food was good and the place was nice, but we just didn't feel the pixie dust.

It wasn't nad for park food and I think we all should try it once to say we ate there, I prefer the hotel resturants for a good meal. :santa:

We LOVE BD. We always have excellent service and great food. I felt thier fellit we much better than Le Cellier.

We have always had memorable meals at BD. Both the service and food have been good. I gave it an 8 in your poll.

I think that it's not bad for a park restuarant so I'd give it a 6. It's too noisy to get a better rating from me.

Not worth it. The food is not bad, but not worth 2 services on the DDP at all. Service was crap. We have gone a few times (one member in our family gets to pick a retaurant and she likes this) They even had to change our waiter once.

Cobb salad is great though.

We love it. We've eaten there @ lunch and dinner.
I do wish they'd change the menu a bit more, especially between lunch and dinner. But the food is excellent, so it doesn't matter that much to us.
Atmosphere at lunch and dinner is very different. Darker, more of a dinner feel.
I'm glad they don't have the piano playing CM. Not a fan.

The food is pretty good--I always like the Cobb salad.
But the restaurant itself has gone downhill in ambiance thanks to Fantasmic. In earlier times, they had a piano player and a quiet atmosphere. And a bar/lounge above the restaurant where you could relax. Now BD is mostly a pre-staging area for Fantasmic. Loud and usually full.

We've had good luck there and it's always on our DHS day for an ADR. We've had great service and frequently receive special things. We got a complimentary bottle of champagne w/ chocolate covered strawberries for everyone to celebrate my parent's anniversary once. We've gotten complimentary desserts for other special events, too. I gave it a 7, I certainly don't think it's the best food in the World, but it is great for park TS.

Had an amazing lunch there a few weeks ago ... great food, great service, and great booze. Wouldn't go for dinner for the reason Uncleromulus mentioned but for an early lunch it was one of the best meals of our recent trip.

We actually love Brown Derby just for the FANTASTIC cobb salad, which we find is plenty big to split. We never use the 2TS here, but on a hot afternoon, find we can usually walk in, get the salad and the famous Grapefruit cake. Nice break in the park, and just over CS price for lunch. A note, the scallop appetizer is out of this world, but very small for the price.

We just returned from WDW yesterday and I think everyone in our party thought that the Brown Derby was our best meal.

We also ate at Jiko, Sanaa, California Grill, Rose & Crown and 1900 Park Fair.

There was no Fantasmic! on Sunday night 10-17 and we also sat down for dinner at 5:20 PM. It was quiet and we had the best service we had all week. We were on the Deluxe Dining plan and thought it was our best meal for 2 credits.

I had the beef short rib in a Sam Adams seasonal beer reduction or something like that and I actually sat there for at least two minutes enjoying the aroma from my plate before I dug in. We were also alowed to get the Cobb Salad as an appetizer for One person.

We had a late lunch there a few weeks ago. It was our first time eating there, and we loved it. I had the Diva Martini, which was delicious, we split crabcake appetizers, the Cobb salad, and the filet, along with a white wine flight and dessert. Service was great, and we will definitely be back :)

DS18 and I did the F! Dining package at HBD Back in May... OOP...

I REALLY REALLY wanted to like HBD...however I did not... The Food just was not that great...

We tried Le Cellier the same trip... and IMHO... Le Cellier beat HBD HANDS DOWN !!!

I actually enjoyed Prime Time and H&V for the TASTE of the food ...better than HBD...

I'm not giving up... maybe it was just a bad day... I WILL Try it again... and hopefully have a better experience...

I had the Crab Cakes, Filet, and Grapefruite cake... didn't care for any of it...didn't taste the crab... the filet had no flavor... Grapefruit cake ...no taste...

DS had the Tuna appy, Chicken, and Banana dessert.... I liked his Tuna appy, he did not... his chicken was dry... neither of us cared for it. Now he LOVED his Banana dessert (I did not try it)

I have pics of all the above if anyone is interested....

Thanks a bunch,

Mary

We had lunch there are totally enjoyed it!! We paid cash and used Tables in Wonderland. It was fantastic -- would definitely go back again! I had Cobb Salad - yummy- and grapefruit cake dessert. I can't remember what hubby had -- but I liked his dessert better -- it was chocolate I think.

5 for food 3 for service.Never had a good server only poor to mediocre.Food is OK but nothing there is a must do for us.
