Brown Derby Fantasmic Package Question

We booked a F! package for our June trip. We have a package in January at Mama Melrose, so for June we picked Brown Derby. When I called for the January ADRs the lady was so helpful and friendly. She explained everything that was possible at each restaurant. I tuned out H & V and BD as I knew we were eating at MM. When I made my next ADRs for June and picked BD, my girl wasn't quite as informative.

We are NOT on the DDP, so I know we get an appetizer, an entrée, and a dessert for our package price. What is excluded at BD? I'm certain the lobster is not an option for the entrée, but I am really curious if the Cobb salad is possible as my appetizer. I LOVE their Cobb Salad, and that is what I want. Still, it is higher priced than the other appetizers, and I am wondering if it won't be possible to get it as part of the package. Maybe I could pay OOP for it?

Thanks for listening to that ramble! :rotfl:

From what I understand, I believe you can order the Cobb Salad as an appetizer. I know the last time my family did the BD F! package, my wife and I had the Cobb Salad as our appetizer because, at that time, the Cobb Salad was listed as an app. for two. According to the All Ears website, the Cobb Salad is now listed as a single app, so I would say that you can order that for your app and your wife can order whatever she wants. The price on the item, whether it be an appetizer, entree or dessert, is irrelevant as far as the package is concerned. In other words, unless WDW has changed their policy for these fixed price packages, you can order whatever you wish from the menu. Hope that helps!

Cobb Salad is currently listed on the lunch menu as an appetizer for two (at least it was on Monday). I have no idea how it's designated on the dinner menu. My friend ordered it for himself, but we were not using a dining plan or any package deal.

Thanks! If it is listed as an appetizer for two, I'm sure DH will want to share with me. After all, a happy wife makes a happy husband! :lmao:

It is also listed "for 2" on the dinner menu, but last time we dined there they were happy to make DH a single-size Cobb Salad for his app. since I hate bleu cheese.

Just FYI and so anyone else is not confused, even people on the basic DDP still get an appetizer with the Fantasmic pkg at both Mama Melrose and Brown Derby, because it is part of the pkg components. It's like the chef's choice options at Chef de France and Le Cellier in that the appetizer is still included in the pkg. The only difference is that at Chef's de France and Le Cellier you are limited to only a few options listed in the Chef's choice, whereas with the Fantasmic pkg, DDP people can order any appetizer at BD or MM. Now if you have just a regular dining reservation (not the Fantasmic pkg) then no, people on the DDP do not get an appetizer.

I was checking Allears.net's webpage for menus. The salad isn't designated as being for two people on the dinner menu and on the lunch menu, it's listed as an entree.

I was there on Monday Dec. 7 and the cobb salad was on the lunch menu as an appetizer for two, definitely not as an entree.
