Brothers & Sisters Season 2 (tv show spoilers possible)

I wonder if Holly's comment to Sara implies that maybe Sara & Joe were an item while he was married to his first wife? Holly would know, I imagine Sara's dad shared a lot of family secrets with her, that we don't know, yet.

Is this TRUE? If so, I'd forgotten this detail.... once a cheater always a cheater as they say, he is such a dog....

Is this TRUE?

What part are you asking about? That Sara's father leaked family seacrets to Holly during their affair? Yes, Holly implied that several times, when she'd say things like "Your father wanted the winery for you, Tommy."

As far Sara and Joe being an item during his first marriage...that is my speculation only.

I think Robert will not win the presidency, like others have said, it would be a completely different show.

I can't believe Joe decided he wanted a divorce! What a creep! What one minute he is with his wife and the next he is with his ex??!!!????

This is my absolute favorite show on TV right now. I just LOVE Sally Fields as the mom and her children are so like many of the old, big family children I grew up with. I love the way they fight and love so passionately!

...Great writers!

I think this is my favorite show too. The writing just makes you really feel like the characters are so real.

I love the way the characters talk over one another (alot) yet you can still hear/understand what everyone is saying. The timing is impeccable.

So, do you guys think that Kitty will have the baby? I bet she will loose it, or she was never pregnant. I don't think they will have a story line with her having a baby.

I felt so sorry for Sarah! But boy, she was so strong in front of her kids! I don't know if I could have kept it together like her!!! Joe is so mean!

I just started a new thread since I didn't see this one, sorry about that! Anyway, I LOVE this show. L-O-V-E it! Sally Field is the best as Nora! And I never liked Calista Flockhart until now. I'm a very liberal democrat and I even like Kitty :lmao: :goodvibes

However, I HATED last night's episode. I just don't get the whole Sarah/Joe thing. Why in the world would Joe get the kids? Their whole divorce is due to the fact that he made out with his wife's younger sister. He was only the stay-at-home-dad because he couldn't get a job. Sarah always took care of the kids, emotionally and financially. Remember when Paige was sick and they found out she had diabetes? It was Sarah who was taking care of her before and after the revelation. When Paige was sick it was Sarah who was up with her all night, and it was Sarah giving her the insulin injections. And Sarah and Joe always had a loving relationship... I was actually a big fan of Joe until now. They were always very close so why would Joe all of a sudden run away with the kids?! I know it has to do with stability, but as I said, it was Sarah who we always saw taking care of the kids. Paige even said she wanted to stay with her mom and in the only home she's ever known. And the whole divorce was Joe's fault so he has no reason to hate Sarah so much to just steal their kids away. I don't believe that the children being with their father will allow them to be better off when it involves stealing them away from their mother and their home. That's not stability to me, especially when Sarah's never done anything wrong. She forgot to give Cooper his permission slip... mothers everywhere have gotten away with a LOT more than that! And does Joe really care about his family as much as he makes it seem? He's the one who kissed his wife's sister :confused3

And don't get me started on the Tommy storyline! He and Julia also had a loving relationship. They cared about each other so much and that fact was always reiterated. Then Julia left with the baby which I know killed Tommy, but as they left he told Julia that she was the love of his life. I was always under the impression that Julia was coming back and they were just trying to deal with everything that happened with the loss of their son. Of course Julia leaving isn't the best of situations, but Tommy was always a family man and him cheating on Julia with some random bimbo he's known for two weeks is SO out of character. It makes no sense...

I still absolutely love the show, but it seems as if the writers couldn't think of any good storylines so they're just being as melodramatic as possible. There's no real understandable reason why Joe would all of a sudden run away with the kids and why Tommy would cheat on "the love of his life." It just seems like drama for the sake of drama :confused3

I was mad when the Senator got mad at Kitty for not telling him sooner she was pregnant!! She tried to tell him! She said "I need to talk to you" and he said he couldn't. How could she have told him sooner? He didn't want to hear anything from her then!! His reaction was cold and unlike him. But he did make a little bit of that up during the debate.

I hadn't really thought anything of it but my mom noticed that, too. He was so upset that she didn't tell him right away, but she tried. And really, she had JUST found out earlier that day. It wasn't like weeks went by before she told him :confused3

Rob Lowe is hot. Anything can happen on the show and it doesn't matter, I'm mesmerized by him. :rolleyes1 He has aged VERY well!

Does anyone alse thing that Julia may wind up institutionalized temporarily at some point? And that maybe she HAD been at some point in the past that Tommy doesn't know about. Wouldn't that explain why her parents swooped in to "rescue" her rather than seeing that she got counseling or care locally.

I agree it was way too soon for Tommy to start that affair story line.

But I loved how each one of the Walkers just "knew" something was up when Nora took the phone into the pantry! :lmao:

So are you surprised Kitty and the Senator got married? I was!

I liked the "holding room" that Tommy and Justin were placed in-along with the others.

I also liked how they were betting on if Kitty would marry or not!!

I wonder who that man was at the end. I thought he was going to hurt Holly at first.
I thought it was a great episode!

I thought it was a great episode!

I think the Senator will either drop out of the Presidential race, or the marriage will fail because of his candidacy.

It was fun seeing Ken Olin and Patricia Wettig (husband and wife- for those that don't know) acting together again. I loved them in "Thirtysomething" years ago.

I wonder what is in store for them? He did seem kind of sinister.

I thought the same thing! I do think that it will turn out that he is back from her acting past and will try to blackmail her - that maybe HE is Rebecca's father and it wasn't really William (as Holly has left us to believe). That would explain Rebecca's jealous feelings of Justin and make it okay that she likes him! I know it hasn't been said but she sure acts like she has a thing for him instead of a protective sister thing!

So is Saul gay or not :confused3 One week he is, the next he's after Holly again. What the heck is up with that?

I LOVE the interaction of this cast....they truly act like a family :dance3:

Can someone fill me in on what happened? I missed it and wanted to see why she halted the wedding. I thought I had sent the DVR to record but forgot.

Thanks in advance!

YES!! I love that idea :thumbsup2

I love this show. They all really DO act like a family. The only one I don't like is Lena. She's quite the ho... :lmao:
