brother needs a Kidney, and no one is a match

I recently heard of an 8 donor transplant...meaning 8 people needed kidneys, but their fmailies and friends weren't matches, but they matched others who needed a kidney....so like a round robin 8 kidneys were donated (I think one was a cadaver donor rather than a live donor) and 8 people got new kidneys.

While a family member couldn't be a match for their loved one, they matched someone else who needed one, and in a way 'traded' their kidney for a good one...does that make sense?

I know Grey's Anatomy also did an episode about this as well, but it really has happened IRL!

Good luck to your brother!
