But only because DW and I are empty nesters. Now, in a couple years or so when grandchildren start to appear......... we'll be buying the whole library.

Sung to the tune of "On My Way"

Tell Micheal Eisner that I wont pay
The film was so boring to me
With such a weak plot line
No I wont pay
unless theres nothing else
out on DVD

Yes, but only if I see it used at Blockbuster when they are having a buy one get one free sale.

The opinion of whether to buy this movie is not up to me, but rather is up to my kids. They liked it, so we're buying it. I think too many people in the past base their video critiques on how they (the adults) see the movie, not their children. Why would you prevent your kids from enjoying this movie over and over again if they liked it?

Now if they didn't enjoy it, then that is a different story.

Just some food for thought.

Yes, I'll purchase it, but only because it was an original animation feature, not a sequel. I'm not purchasing any more of the cheaply made sequels. I will purchase a quality original feature that actually played in theaters though.

Buy them now, before they put them in moritorium...That happened when I wanted movies ater my daughter was born..I didn't want her to miss Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty, so I purchased..My mom has bought for years and put them away

We liked this movie quite a bit. And living in Alaska it meant a lot to me personally. I would also like to go back and look for some of the landmarks that I have been told are in there as well.

In fact, I wouldn't even take it for free. Okay, maybe I would but I certainly won't buy it. Not at any price. And I haven't even seen the thing.

Brother Bear, Country Bears, Bear in the Big Blue House.
Foget About It!

Yea, I'm going to get it. .....For the Bob and Doug McKenzie moose characters!

And why is that? If you've never seen it how do you know how good or bad it is?

I loved this movie. I thought it was really funny. Especially the billy goats on the side of the mountain when they heard their echo. LOL. I am not one to like animated movies, but this was good. The moose are also funny, but my favorite are the goats.lol

I haven't seen "Brother Bear" or any other Disney film since "Dinosaur". That movie was pitiful. I did see TS2 (which was pretty good) and Monsters Inc. (Horrific at best). I am on a Disney film boycott. I have decided that the only Disney animated films worth seeing are the classics. And when I say classics, I'm talking about the true classics.

The last film that I really enjoyed was "Fantasia 2000" which I saw 4 times at IMAX and I own the Fantasia Anthology DVD set. The only thing I am interested in doing is getting the rest of my old VHS collection on DVD, and this includes purchasing the rest of the platinum edidion DVD's. Three down and seven more to go.

My boycott also includes any and all Disney films named after, or based on theme park attractions. Call me crazy, but I like to think of myself as a true Disney purist. Great films can and should become theme park attractions. When you do it the other way around, you're just trying to make money.

I'm not buying it until it hits the "previously viewed" rack. I haven't seen it, and didn't have a real interest in seeing it. If my DD had been younger, I'm sure I would have seen it already - probably twice.;)

We haven't decided. I can't see us watching this over and over....then again the moose were great. I do think their performance may do more to sell copies of Strange Brew than Brother Bear, though.

The kids? They weren't all that thrilled with the movie...they liked it, but didn't love it.

I want the entire collection of Disney animated films. I will likely buy it in a few weeks.

What movies are you referring to?

I will. My son really enjoyed the movie. And after having to sit through the Jungle Book 2 repeatedly, I would much rather watch BB.

Obviously Country Bears, Pirates and Haunted Mansion are the attractions that had movies named after them. My rule also applies to any future movies like "It's A Small World", "Big Thunder Mountain Railroad: Terror On The Tracks", "Monorail", etc.

As I also said, I have no problem with movies being turned into theme park attractions. That's what the parks have become. We'd have no Disney/MGM or Universal without them. Dark rides, flume rides, roller coasters, you name it. It's expected that successful movies can and will become theme park attractions. It is also expected that such attractions will be done tastefully and that they will be great rides.

Now with recent films (especially those under my boycot), it's hard to say what I'll do when they become rides. I will miss Alien Encounter, but clearly have NO interest in a Stitch ride. But I do like the Buzz Lightyear ride.
