Hey MeMom and Jill! I'm somewhat new to the DISboards. I'm one of the youngins here...I'm 16 My mom and I have been to WDW together 7 times. We've gone annually the past 5 years. We're hoping to go back in February. I've spent the past week or so reading the report. It's been fun to live vicariously through you while I dream about our potential trip Brooklynn and Bella are absolutely adorable

I'm dying to make a trip report but our next trip isn't definite and I don't really remember enough of our last trip(Feb) to make one I might try anyway though

Love the Poly pics!! David and I are going back to WDW in August 2010 to celebrate his High School graduation. AUGUST! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?? It's a re-do trip of this past one that went less than stellar and we want it to be big so we are deciding between the Contemporary vs Polynesian. Not sure if its in hte cards yet financially (gotta see the passholder rates!) but I'm the Polynesian and he's for the Contemporary. I'll have to show him your pictures!

I had an audible " OOOOHHHHHH" and it stopped several family members to ask "what?" when I saw the CD's. Definitely on the must buy for this trip.

My family doesn't ask anymore...they just say "DISboards?"

Loved the pics of the Poly-its my goal to stay there one day. Never seen it in person yet! But, this time next week I will be close to arriving and eating dinner at 'Ohanas!! How is the packing coming? I bet you are getting excited. We leave in two weeks. My son remembered that I had shown him some Pokemon pictures in one of your reports and insisted that I find them again so that he could see which one he wanted to by in two weeks. It took me a while, but I finally found them and he was very excited. Thanks for taking them, it made his day.

Isn't it awesome when you can say that you're going to be eating somewhere in Disney THIS Saturday? I definitely want to make it over to the Poly at some point in February. My mom and I both want to try tonga toast and look around there, since we haven't been since we went to a luau for my 10th birthday. We'll very likely be seeing the Grand Floridian because I finally decided that I want to eat at 1900 PF.

Yes, it is pretty awesome. I have been looking forward to the steak, so I'm hoping it lives up to my dreams of it.

I think we need a picture of you at the luau at age ten!

Oh wow!! I just love seeing pictures of the Poly!! It is my favorite resort and I could just look at the pictures all day long! I keep begging Chad for us to stay there one day. I stayed there in 94 with my grandmom, mom, aunt, and little cousin. It was just so nice!!! I love walking in the Ceremonial house and just taking in that tropical smell.....well, alright I know its just a Disney water smell, but I still love it!

It's a great lobby - a beautiful place for just hanging out in the comfortable chairs for conversation with loved ones and some people watching.

Thanks for the picture of the CDs! I'm trying to decide which one to buy in December; I'm leaning toward the 4 Parks 1 World.

4 Parks, 1 World - good choice. I have them all. I bought them one or two at a time. They bring me great happiness some afternoons when I am leaving school.

They are great souvenirs. They last a long time, bring much happiness, and don't take up much room for travel.

I am planning on getting at least one of those CDs while I'm there in December. I'm pretty sure you guys have a few so any suggestions?

Speaking of all that walking on your bad knee, how is it feeling now?

Don't ask me. I can't show restraint when it comes to things like that. I'd get them all!

I think I have sort of come to a plateau on the healing process. It's not much different than it was a week or two ago, but it's not nearly as painful. I guess it was walking slow with pain or walking slow without pain, basically, and I'll take the latter!

by the way, i'm super jealous you're eating at kona on saturday. i will probably be eating at zaxby's!!! kona is one of my faves. if you like tuna, the tuna oscar is to die for. i think you're pretty set on that teriyaki stirp though, right?

We will do like we did last time. The numbers I have or whoever texts us, we'll text back. Trent said we can send him pictures and then he'll put them on FB, so we'll try to do quite a bit of that.

The teriyaki steak is what I have been waiting for. The pork chops sound good, too, but we'll see.

My Mom actually has a purse with this picture on it and a matching coin purse! She always takes it with us for our Luau night.

That's so exciting you can picture where you're eating Saturday night.

That would be the perfect purse to take to the luau, of course!

The Poly looks fantastic. We went there at night so we really didn't get to see the grounds. After seeing your pictures, I realized how much we missed.

We went to a chinese restaurant tonight and I thought of you when I saw a man walk by with an enormous plate of sushi. I wondered if you would be brave and then I looked away b/c it looked grose! I think I'll stick with the rice and noodles! But you go for it!

Can't wait to hear all about it. We will catch the last two days of F&W. I'm still debating if we should go. I'm depending on you to help make up my mind!

You need to go back and see it in the daytime.

I think I am going to be brave and try the sushi, after Nicole's recommendation.

We always like to do different things, so I will already say go for it on the F&W visit!

We have the Tables in Wonderland card. It has more than paid for itself! We are super excited! We will be there almost the exact same dates in December. We arrive the 28th and leave the 2nd. There is a group of us planning to meet on the beach of the POly New Years Eve for fireworks. You are more than welcome to join us.

Just checking in to say I am still reading, albeit quietly, and that I hope you and the girls have a totally amazing time in DISNEY next week!!!!!!!!
Our trip is confirmed for 2011, the villa is booked from 12th August 2011 for 3 weeks and we will probably arrive a few days after (its a Fri and flights from the UK are cheaper on a week day!) staying for just over 2 weeks!

Oh MeMom, grade cards! This is our first year with electronic grade cards, I hope the computers stay healthy!
I wish you could have found a good deal on a Poly night! I'm still waiting on that buy 1 get 4 free deal to stay there.....

I wish I could at least have gotten it for the one night. It would have been nice to just walk to our room after NYE fireworks. We are just going to have to have an easy day and get ourselves ready to stay up very late, because I imagine it will take us quite some time to get back to Pop from Poly after the fireworks. We'll just plan on a very late sleep in day on the 1st.

Heck, I might even sleep until seven o'clock!

Well, we were short on teenagers around here, so it's a good thing you showed up!

I know you and your mom have had some great times together on your trips. Jill and I love our girl trips. We laugh so much at the silliest things and have like traveling styles, so it makes for a great time.

I vote for the Polynesian. The atmosphere is so much better there, I think. The Contemporary is nice, but it's not as relaxed and cozy feeling to me. I'll try to help you sell him on Poly.

I have a busy day tomorrow & Friday so wanted to check in now to wish you bon voyage and a magical trip! I know you all will have the best time ever. And I can't wait to hear all about it.

I'm not friends w/ Trent on FB so I will depend on others to provide some updates here. It's always so fun to follow along when you know that friends are there.

For what it is worth my F&W favorites were: beef empanada (Argentina? booth by Mexico), beef skewers with chimichurri and bonaiuto puree (same booth as empanada), braised short ribs (France), and chocolate lava cake in Ireland.

Sounds like a lot of us have dreams of staying at the lovely Polynesian Resort.

I'm a little disappointed in how sore my knee still is and how slow I have to walk. I guess I was expecting miracles, but the doctor said it was too messed up to promise 100% pain-free. It's just aggravating when you know what it is like to walk normally, but you can't do it.

Unless something unexpected happens, we'll meet you at the dinosaur!

As usual, Jill works tirelessly to make things good for her girls. She says Bella is going to be the cutest Flounder ever. I will probably agree with her.

Other than two one hour meetings Friday, we supposedly get the rest of the day to work on report cards. We'll see if that really happens.

I'm glad he enjoyed the pictures. I had no idea what I was taking pictures of, but I just got everything I saw.
