Well after having an exciting day today, what with booking my Disney tickets   , now more expense :sad1: , my mobile's broke! the worcester sauce fell out of the kitchen cupboard as I looked for something else and it's landed straight on the face of my phone!! now it won't work!!, it's a contract phone with O2, DH didn't take the insurance out so now I think we have to look into purchasing a new phone or see if it can be fixed :headache:

I don't know if things work the same on that side of the "pond" or not. Mine fell off my belt clip when I was getting into my car, and I backed out of the driveway right over it. It still worked a little, but had major problems.

I lived with it for a while, because I couldn't afford a new one and didn't have insurance on it.

When I finally took it into T-Mobile to inquire about repair costs, they told me I could get another free phone if I extended our plan for another year. We've been happy with the service and price, so I didn't have any problem committing to another year.

Perhaps your company has a similar incentive.

Have you checked you house contents insurance? if your excess is small it might be worth looking into.
Asda are clearing a lot of phone instore for over 50% off.
Ebay have good cheap phones.(I know i have sold them for peanuts in the past)
other option take the same route as me, cancelled mine last December, they are not needed, do without.
He still did right not to insure, mobile insurance is a con, overpriced, high excess and difficult to claim. Claiming on contents is usually the best option.

Thanks for your replies, think we may call into O2 to see what they say, but on the phone I don't think O2 we're that helpful, need to sort something as my monthly bill is by Direct Debit :headache: . The screen has a nice crack in it and when you turn it on it's like a spiders web on the screen  and that's it!!.
