broken arm questions

Recently I broke my arm and have a few questions regarding DAS. I have no problem waiting in lines, the problem I have is with rides that you have to walk and board at the same time... Like haunted mansion. Honestly I am very scared that getting on and off will be unsafe, I just don't move as easy as I used to in my younger years and in addition I am now limited with my broken (dominant) arm.

would the DAS be OK to use on those rides to have them slow down?

If I understand correctly I go to guest services in the park and have my pic taken and it is then linked to the magic band.

Then at the ride we go there, get scanned and return 10-15 min before original timed wait time.

I feel so silly for asking this, I just want to be safe.

Also, curious for any rides will they deny me if my arm is in a sling?

You don't need a DAS for that. You just ask them to slow the ride down when you get into the line.

The DAS is for an alternate waiting area which has. I thing to do with slow boarding.

DAS would not help you in that situation.
DAS allows guests who have difficulty with waiting in the regular line to wait somewhere else. DAS would do nothing to help with your situation in boarding. Even if someone is using DAS because of problems wasting in line, they would still need to explain their boarding concerns with the CMs at the attractions the same way as guests who are not using DAS.

There is a list if attractions with moving walkways or stairs in a post on the disABILITIES FAQs thread near the top of this board or linked in my signature. That will help you know which ones might be an issue for you. Then you can ask the CM at the entrance and as you are closer to boarding.
Also make sure your companions know that you might need a steadying hand and how yo help you without hurting your arm.

Regarding the sling -
They won't deny you boarding say attraction. It's really up to you to decide which rides you feel are safe. There is a list of attractions with warnings in a post on page 2 of the disABILITIES FAQs thread and you will want to look at those.
Some may be just fine. But some, like Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Star Tours for example, may be too tough.

like other have said the DAS will not help you when you want to ride something ask the CM when you first enter if they can slow the ride down if you need more time getting in I think there are only 2 rides that this can not be done at peter pan flight and the people mover

My son broke his arm in Feb and we went to Disneyland in April, he had no troubles getting on the rides and he was not restricted to any rides at Disneyland..
the only place we had trouble was at knots berry farm on one ride.. he did it in the morning and then later that day went back and they told him after he rode it the second time, that he wasn't allowed with the cast on.. yup two rides before being banned....
anyway I digress....

he is 10 and had no trouble with getting onto any of the rides.. he is a crazy man and loves screaming and he did that at least 4 times a day ..

You just ask them to slow the ride down when you get into the line.

1) But, slowing the line is just a request.
2) Some rides will honor your request, others will not.
. . . there have been MANY people stating Haunted Mansion would not slow down for them
. . . some rides, like Space Mountain may well deny boarding, in order to eliminate a liability issue
3) On some rides, (eg. Peter Pan) slowing or stopping is not an option,
4) Additionally, I do not know if a broken arm even qualifies for a DAS card.
