My dw and dds have been wearing them all summer and I swore that I would never own a pair of those things. But after hearing my dw talk about how comfortable they are and reading about all of my fellow disers that love them, I broke down and got a pair. We are going back to WDW in November so I figured I would get a pair for the trip. At least they are black, or at least that is what I told myself.

I got a pair of the caymens. Sizing was kind of tricky. I wear wide shoes so I thought I would have to get the beaches, or at least I thought I had read on here that they were wider than caymens. The XXL beaches said they were size 12-13 but they were tighter than a size 12 caymen. Anyway, I guess I am now a Croc convert!!!

HEY IT IS ALL GOOD...My brother, a COL in the USARMY just returning from 18 months in Iraq where he took 5000 soldiers from Ft. Carson...YUP that bro WEARS black crocs 24/7 (obviously off duty). :goodvibes

He came to Maine in August, first time seeing my baby bro since June 2004 and he had on Black Cros....so if they are OKAY for the COL...they will be good for YOU!!!!! :goodvibes

We laughed so hard when we hugged as we both had on our CROCS!!! :goodvibes

Well at least I am in good company!!!

I am glad he made it home safely. My hats off to all those guys, they sure do a great service for this country. :thumbsup2

God bless them all! Whether you agree or not with the policy, those guys (and women) are putting their lives on the line every minute they spend overseas.

As for the crocs, I slipped my size 12s into a pair of lime green ones this past Easter. Just to annoy my kids. And it worked! BUT: now they all want their own pair!

Rather than start another Croc thread . . . I bought a pair a couple of months ago, but they give me massive blisters on the TOPS of my feet. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Welcome to the dark side! ;)

Be sure to wear your crocs before the trip to break them in! I didn't the first time, and all the little bumps inside caused some ouchie blisters!

You'll be hooked now! I got some in August and can't stop wearing them. My kids all have them too. DH won't do it.... yet. We're working on him!

Crocs? OMG, I so love mine. I bought mine after all the raves about them here. I had to be different of course and bought Bright Yellow ones :) Oh, Just like Mickey :) :rainbow:

:wizard: Mike :wizard:

Are Crocs better than the Payless Airwalks? I've got a pair of Airwalks, and for $14, they sure beat the price of $30 Crocs....So...should I spring for the Crocs, or stick with my el-cheapo shoes????

Just don't ride escalators while wearing them! At our mall they advise people not to wear them because they get stuck in the escalators and people have lost some digits.

I'd try some BodyGlide or Monistat Soothing Care Chafing gel . BodyGlide can be found at bike shops or sports stores--Monistat is in the "feminine hygiene" section of Wal-Mart or your local drug store. Both are anti-chafing products.

Good luck!

Yep! Read this -- it should explain. STAY AWAY FROM ANY CROCS MADE IN MEXICO -- THEY ARE JUNK! The "Made in China" ones are the best. You will find this in small print on the tag.

Here is the thread I was referring to . . .

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1229788&page=1&pp=15

Last year I bought a pair that obviously were made in China. They felt great. Conformed to my feet and not one blister was found.

However, this year I made the mistake of buying some (not knowing where they were made was important) and my feet had blisters all over them. Yep, found out the ones made in Mexico will not conform to your feet (I know mine didn't) and do not feel all that comfy.

I bought my Mexican ones at Dick's Sporting Goods and the manager was wonderful! He asked me to bring back the Crocs and found a pair that were made in China and let me switch them out -- even after I had worn the other pair for several months!

REALLLLLLLLLLLY!!!! :scared1:

Does anyone make croc knockoffs that have a closed heel?

I bought a pair that were Anywear brand for work and love the feel of them. They're the only pair of work shoes I had that didn't have my feet hurting when I got home. Unfortunatley, I learned after I bought them that we can't wear open heel for infection control reasons. :guilty:

DH, DS, and I all broke down on our last Disney trip and bought Crocs. After only one day, DH and DS both were complaining about their feet. So, we found out where the nearest outlet mall was (which was only a few miles away) and each found a pair at Journeys. They saved our feet! :goodvibes

BTW, if you find that any portion is rubbing up against your foot, just use a hot blow dryer to soften the area and then stretch it out. We did this for my son's pair because the straps were rubbing up against his heels. It solved the problem instantly.

I heard the warning and I do wear mine to work everyday where I basically run up and down the moving escalators to get to and from different floors. I've never had anything close to a close call on getting mine caught. But then again, I'm what one could call an escalator pro and never lean on the sides of an escalator.
