Hi guys!

I'm so glad you remembered our party.

I can't take much time to post tonight. I have to pack up the laptop and get ready for an early Am departure.

Lots to tell over the last week. Some up, some down, some downright frustrating and at the end of the day an optimistic outcome. Let's just say that Grandpa Mohawk and I did finally get to the MNSSHP Party... tonight on our very last night in Disney. Just the two of us (as it probably should be) and having lots of fun. We told our story to a young college CM and had her in tears. Figuring our job was done, we left for the night.

We're flying home to Baltimore tomorrow (12:30pm on Southwest). My cousin is overnighting on the autotrain and picking us up in the van on the other end (along with a contingent of brothers). So that means me in my powerchair and GM in his scooter will be doing the early 9:30am Magical Express and trying to find our way through Orlando International. Say a little prayer our guardian angels are in good form tomorrow.

I'll post the complete story with pictures once we get home. It has been an adventure. And both GM and I want to thank you all for your support, well wishes, little surprises and just plain caring about us two adventurers.

Well we made it.

Been a busy day so I am beyond pooped. The full update will come later this weekend.

In short, the trip to Carriage House was very smooth, as was ME, and even Southwest and home to Maryland. GM and I handled everything just fine solo with the help of a few airline and other staff along the way.

My brothers met us at baggage claim as did my cousin, uncle and nephew. My cousin was back at our house by mid-morning and spent the time making our house more accessible for my dad. Told ya he was a prince!

Our day turned into a mini family gathering and now is a sleepover for my brother and nephew. We're watching Iron Man and I expect GM and I will be fast asleep soon after.

Tell GM that there a lot of us pulling for him. And you should try to get some rest and pampering in. As someone who cared for a parent for a long time it is too easy to not make time for oneself.

Wow, you have been through a lot. My family was at SSR from 10/7 until the 13th. I can't believe that I didn't run into you at some point. We were in the last Paddock building that is closest to Congress Park and used that as our bus stop when catching a bus from the room. Or we would catch a bus from the Springs stop after stopping by Artist Palette. After reading about GM I was keeping an eye out for you not remembering your exact dates and if you would be there at the same time. I am glad to hear that you made it home safely.
