Broadway Club

ALMOST got to see CATS for the 30th time, but unfortunately my parents wouldnt let me. Tour was only 30mins away..cheap seats galore, but no...

Another 'never been to NYC' club member. Almost went with the choir this year, but it didn't go through. Hopefully will be able to go before I get to college lol.

American Idiot got a RAVE review from the NY Times! Congrats, cast of AI!

Yay! I really, really want to see AI. I almost saw it with my friend. We were debating whether or not to see that or Mandy Gonzalez (AMAZING actress of In the Heights fame) in Wicked, who had just started. We didn't end up seeing either that day, but we hopefully we'll do both soon. My friend and I love Mandy, and I heard she's a fantastic Elphie. Although we'll probably see AI first, since getting Wicked tickets can be close to impossible.

My friend went to see Lion King and South Pacific recently.

Ugh, so jealous....

Going with my drama class to NYC on Wednesday morning. Were seeing the Fantastics im excited. Anyone know anything about this play?

Wicked in the West End in October. Will I handle the songs with british accents?

New York isn't too bad as long as you stay in the tourist district at night, where there's a ton of New York Police around. You can see an 8:00 show, or go to Madame Tussaud's or something.

It's relatively safe in the uptown and most midtown areas. There's always a ton of NYPD around.

yea... i agree with above^^^^ stay in the tourist district!! oh, and come night time take cabs, don't walk! we where in times square and there where some sketchy people following us. and central park at night is a total don't!!!!!

i have told my mom that a million times but she has said i can see a broadway show when i move to new york so i don't think anything will make a difference :sad1: she is just so scared cause she focuses on the negative stuff that she hears on tv

ANDY! You're back!

Wicked with the British accents...from the clips I've heard, they're tolerable for the most part.

it's as if I never left! Hmm, as long as I'm not clutching my ears. It'll be mom and dad's first proper exposure to it too, after they fell asleep when we went to it on broadway (have never forgiven them)

 that's terrible! Mom saw it twice with me and loved it (rare for her; she doesn't share the Obession).

After viewing the Tonys on Sunday, I'm DYING to see Promises, Promises with Kristen Chenoweth and Sean Hayes.
