Well, I can't go see Rent like I was going to.
Now I'm sad.
I'm just gonna have to live with never seeing it on Broadway. Oh well. Maybe my school will do it, or college, when I go, because I wanna be an actress.
Am I the only person who has never seen a musical on BRoadway?

You're not alone, OneTreeHill! No worries, there are plenty out there who have never seen a B'way show! And I'm so so sorry that you can't see RENT. I feel your pain (although I did manage to catch the tour!) :-(

I haven't seen one on Broadway. I did see Wicked on the National Tour back in November though. But my mom was thinking about going into NYC to see Mary Poppins.

Wow, I haven't been on this thread in a long time! Well, it's about time I spoke up!

So here are my show updates: My aunt and two cousins (ages 22 and 25) are in the city from Seattle for the weekend, and whenever they come in, it's basically "let's cram in as many shows as we can!" weekend. But my mom and I are getting over bronchitis, so we're only keeping it to one show this time. We're seeing Legally Blonde (again) on Sunday. Very excited. In all honesty, I started liking the show a lot more after I saw it. I bought the songs on iTunes, the whole plot and the energy of the show itself really sunk in...so now I'm a fan. Every time someone says "Oh my God..." I go, "OMIGOD, OMIGOD YOU GUYS!!!" So yeah.
Oh, and I think what I'm the most excited for is Friday. My mommy and I are off to see The Little Mermaid on Broadway!! Finally! I've waited so long. I actually totally forgot it was this Friday! But I heard it was really good. It should be a fun-filled break (I have the whole week off from school, btw )

I know. It got mixed reviews, some good, some bad. Bad especially around where I live. And I honestly think the sets and costume choices are kinda blah. (Everyone is on wheelies for heaven's sake!) But the main reason I'm excited to see it is because of the actors. Sherie Rene Scott is Ursula! She was in so many amazing shows, including The Last 5 Years, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels...many more. She's truly a power house. And I think the girl playing Ariel is really talented, and my friend Marissa and I have this kind of joking crush on the guy who plays King Triton, Norm Lewis. We saw him together as Javert in Les Miz. So I'm sorry for this long response back, I don't want to sound snippy! But I'm seeing it mostly for the actors and I suppose just for fun

Yeah, we got the bad reviews too. I thought it was so odd the whole skates thing. Just, not very...I don't know. But yeah, the cast is pretty amazing and talented No problem on the long reponse, I like wellthought out replies!

I know Adam Pascal! He is super nice. My dad is the sound engineer for RENT on Broadway. When Adam came back for a month to do the show, my father brought me in to meet him a few times.
