Broadway Club

Spring Awakening is amazing (Mama Who Bore Me is playing as I type).

Avenue Q is funny, funny, funny!

yay! I'm gonna jump in with something random and say that for my birthday my mom gave me tickets to go see A Chorus Line! I'm sooo excited :upsidedow

and Spring Awakening was amazing- Amanda (I really hope that's your name... haha sorry!) 1)we have to talk about it when you go see it and 2) I love your siggie :)

And Shelton, I'm so jealous that you've seen Avenue Q. Did you like it?

Meg :)

I cannot, cannot, CANNOT wait for Spring Awakening! (Thanks about my sig. I adore that song. The acappella part makes me bawl like a baby. Every. Time. I. See. Phoebe Strole's. Version. On. YouTube. Seriously.)

And oooh, A Chorus Line. That's coming here next week! (I'm not seeing it though. It was that, Legally Blonde, or Mamma Mia! as my choices at the time. So I went ahead with Legally Blonde and Mamma Mia!)

:welcome:

Our non-exclusive Broadway Club is back from the dead!

So, I know you've seen Avenue Q, Shelton.

Oh, and Rent, Jerry Springer the Opera, Wicked, Spring Awakening... I've seen WAY too many (not like that's a bad thing!)

You've seen Spring Awakening??!?!?

No fair!

I still have 29 days 1 hour and 32 minutes!

Rent and Wicked, yaaaaaay!

OK so no one here has seen Jerry Springer the Opera? That might have been West End, though. Yeah I think it was. Anyways, if there's ever a production near you GO SEE IT! To quote Brittany ANTM C4, It's deliciously tacky!

I'm the musical director for You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown at my school :scared1: It's really hard... these people have the attention span of rodents!

I haven't even heard of that one!

This year, I've seen Mamma Mia! and (soon to be) Spring Awakening. Not counting whatever might come in the fall. Might also see The Color Purple. We're reading the book in History, so our teacher's trying to get a decent group rate to see the musical in late May!

Last year was great. Rent, Riverdance (not a musical, but was at PPAC), The Producers, Wicked, and Legally Blonde!

Youtube it, it's hilarious! How could I forget Producers? I sing Springtime for Hitler down the hallways of school and everyone stares... except for my friends who sing it with me! I also like plays, especially Woolly Mammoth plays!

Springtime for Hilter and Germany!

It was probably the funniest show I've seen. My dad and I were laughing hysterically through the entire thing.

Keeping my fingers crossed!

My two friends got to see phantom of the opera. When we asked one of them how it was all she said was it was long.
It just kinda annoyed me. Like when I go into the theatre I'm transfixed, and immersed into the whole atmosphere and play. You can't take me out of it until the final note, I pay attention to the details and the beauty and they're mindblowing.

It's just annoying that she fell asleep in Lion King and the only thing she had to say about POTO was "It was long."
It's like, you get to go see these wonderful plays, and you don't even appreciate them?

I don't know, maybe I am looking too much into it.

Oh, no, go! It just seems longer because the songs are opera-sung, drawn out. But it's staggeringly beautiful.

If you liked the movie, you'll LOVE the show even more!

Yeah, I wouldn't have taken her word for it anyways. I loved Lion King more than Wicked and she didn't like LK hardly at all.

I don't care if it's long, that's just more of the show to see. :)

You would never fall asleep during Jerry Springer the opera! Some of my favorite quotes:

"What the ****? What the ****? What the ****ing ****ing ****?"
"Talk to the ***!"
"Jesus is gaayyy! Jesus is gaaay! Jesus jesus jesus jesus is gayyyyy!" (Satan's minions said that...)
"Momma gave me smack on the *******!"
"Chick with a dick!"
"I can't go to hell, I'm Jewish!"
